I got one of these to help with my hemorrhoids and it works well. I think the pajeet squatting technique really does the trick. There's a lot less pushing and straining like it knows where to go and doesn't need directing.

Saw these odd-shaped beef patties at Woolies this evening. I came across them whilst searching for the 'Reduced for quick sale' section where I found a cheap deli-style pasta salad which I ate in the carpark. And a packet of chips on the way out because they were half-price. Ageing workers – This class has the highest mean age of any of the classes (58 years) and counts for 14 per cent of the population. A large portion of this class are pensioned retirees and are the least likely, along with the precariat, to be engaged in gainful employment.

New workers – In contrast, almost half of all new workers, whose mean age is naturally younger, are employed fulltime. While the relative prestige of the occupations of people in this class is slightly lower than that of ageing workers, they are more financial successful and have better social and cultural capital scores over all.

Established middle – While reporting slightly lower fulltime employment rates compared with new workers, the established middle class "appear more entrenched and comfortable in their status than the new worker class." Due to more accumulated wealth, they also enjoy "greater advantages" overall than new workers.

Emerging affluent – The emerging affluent class reports higher income levels than the established middle but, interestingly, lower "wealth accumulation" (i.e. assets and savings).

Established affluent – The closest Australia has to an aristocracy, reporting the highest scores of social, economic and cultural capital of any class.

One of the most compelling aspects of the report's results, Dr Sheppard says, is the fact that the six classes seem to make intuitive and anecdotal sense.

>tfw no social connections

One of the comments in that article goes on about that and how it isn't all about monetary value and assets. He makes a point that perhaps social media connections are as valid as real life and I think he's implying that someone with a lot of facebook or youtube followers is at a higher societal class than someone without as that gives them more capability to move up.

That's an interesting thought.

>Talking of powerful levers, I'm wondering if social media is on the rise in a few of the classes, and whether that is relevant anyhow. The research seems to be skewed in the direction of socialisation, which isn't too good a fit with your thesis on 'power and influence'.

Well I'm sure there are people I don't hold a candle to when it comes to my daily routine.

But fuck it, here goes. I wake up, usually hungover, and roll over to my computer and wipe the crust out of my eyes

as I stare at the blinding glow of my screen. I play something like CS or TF2 for a minute or two,

something that's fast-paced enough to wake me up, without having to think to much.

After that I'll sneak my mom's debit card out of her purse and go buy Mcdonalds breakfast.

By the time I finish I still dont know what the fuck I'm going to do for the rest of the day.

So I pack a few bowls and of course get fucking high as shit.

That's when I'm in the mood for something more intellectually stimulating, like a jRPG…

the stories in those usually never let me down,

and being the hero in fictional universe is just the thing I need for the soulcrushing reality taht is my life.

After a few hours I loose interest, and usually end up plugging my fleshlight

before passing out into a nice afternoon weednap.

When I wake up it usually takes a few hours to climb out of bed anyway, so it's usually dark by then.

So I'll play something that's more fitting for night time – something scary, dark & moody

– Doom 3 for example, love replaying that one, I've played threw it 20 times in the past 8 years.

A pint of Captain later and it's basically like Im on the martian soil, blowing away demons & monsters with my shot gun,

like I'm actually a space marine. I go to bed still fealing unfulfilled, like Ive been living the same day

(though slightly varied) for the past 20 years. Even hearing the song Summer of '69,

I cant help but think of all the gaming experiences I had, for those truely were the best days of my life.

I still have no idea what I want to do as a career, I run through all these ideas and then I just say that I can't do that. I never studied in high school at all and always got D's in Maths class.

I tried learning my music prod software and connected my keyboard in and I stopped after about 20 mins. My focus is absolute trash. I'm so sick of this modern world, how is it fair to put people into debt for an education and to live in concrete jungles then I ask why I was born in this hot desert country to begin with.

I am not Australian nor even have been, it doesn't matter if I was born here, I get sunburn, I have no connection to anyone. I ask myself how all these people manage to be normal and I can't.
