It will be until you develop a strategy. I use to have folders and piles with all my shit for each subject (organised chaos).

>If you cannot read the material on screen, print it out. Making notes can help you annotate material.

>Even having someone to talk to is invaluable. In the end all you is 50% to pass, do not just aim for 50% though and you will be fine.

>Even asking tutors and lecturers is a good technique either via email or in person to build a relationship with them, but it may not work for some subjects where some are complete dead shits.

>Even use free courses the university offers to get you skills to use resources to make you life easier like resources using their catalogue

those students who aim for 50% are often hit hard in one assessment then have to worry their ass off that they need to get a high mark in the next big assessment just to pass

Try Grammarly add-on tool for Microsoft word (Australian spelling and grammar feature), it costs money for the premium version but has helped me as my writing is terrible without proofreading. It can crash so save your shit frequently when you finish a sentence or two. It is not a master of all tools, but I combine it with the text-to-speech resource in Word that has helped me. I am not an expert, but it has helped me identify little issues that can drop your marks when combined.

When you do fuck something up to make a note of it so you do not do it again in the future. I use post-it notes to note specific mistakes and put them on a wall next to my desk. When I am done an assignment, I look at that wall and check that I have not made those mistakes again. You will keep making mistakes in life and just need to accept it, as long as you are making new mistakes then there is nothing to fear.

Tutors only really remember memorable papers when it is a big fuck up, like spelling a significant authors name incorrectly, continuous, significant grammar errors or the assignment is written in the last hour before class some people can pull this off, not all. Here is there a website with a free tool you can use, I bought my subscription in Black Friday specials for a really low price.

I would recommend Grammarly with the higher monthly price while you are a university. You may not use it during the breaks, and you lose subscription time. Pay for it when you need it:

>It is not about the grammar.

Using tools can be reaffirming that you would have done everything humanly possible to identify the mistake that caused you unease. The antecedent event that led to your concerns were the grammar mistakes that led to your behaviour (insomnia) with the ongoing consequence of impact your behaviour into the future.

Not everything can be controlled and no assessment is ever perfected. There was a study with two groups of university students, one had to submit the assignment as normal and the other group had to submit by the same date but had the option of editing it then resubmitting them a week later. From memory a significant majority of students took the opportunity to resubmit their assignment. It is not a empirical finding but it highlighted that these feels are normal because we all make mistakes. From memory I do not believe the grades shifted significantly because they resubmit their assignments.

>Even if they mean well by it.

It also depends on the position they are in and even then what an employer wants can change significantly between employers. Your references are another filtering stage to exclude people who have significantly puffed up their CV or Resume without evidence of their qualifications and to see who you are a person. I think they are a significant chunk of getting the job but not the entire means as it depends on your written application and then your interview. Applicants are more likely to fuck up their application than having a reference who goes both ways with their feedback.

She said that if the client wanted to go on a cruise, the gov. could pay for you to go with them. That would be in an actual paid role not volunteering. Like if there was a client who needs supervision etc. and wanted to go on a boat you could get paid to go with them.

When alcohol prices went up and up in clubs, people I grew up around began per-drinking at home. They use to use the sugary pre-mixed drinks, when they were taxed highly they moved onto hard liquor to mix. I see it working to change behaviour but I do not see how they were better off, even the idea people drank smaller amounts of alcohol faster to get the buzz was even floated.

>>31028

Indeed, but a lot of people are trained to spot people with failing memory. St George bank in my area at least has trained their staff to identify those with dementia (posters of this information) and ask questions about the money they are withdrawing.

I am not certain but I think lawyers and other people have a responsibility to check that people are of sound mind. That if they write up a will when the person has been diagnosed. It almost happen to us but the people caring for them knew the will was fraudulent as the person was diagnosed with severe dementia at the time. The money wasn't going to us but instead their friends who got him to write up a will. Ironically they never got in touch with that person when they went into high care environment and it showed they didn't give a flying fuck.

>>31034

>I also have that unpaid PATH fuckery interview this friday

They give you a few extra bux but is a very low amount. Read social security guide from Cenno and Unemployment union for advice on what they can and cannot do. If they do something dodgy then you may be able to out of an assigned job.

>>31035

>I don't know how I feel about that, I get that they need someone with them but it still sort of seems like a waste of taxbux

Mummybot went a holiday last year and guy with diagnosis who required support with his daily living had a carer with him on the holiday. You won't be relaxing as much but it is still a holiday and what the client wants. If they are relaxed around you and trust you, I would go for it. You are providing a service to them.

>tbh some of you, if you're on dsp are probably entitled to some funding under NDIS.

It seems like a pretty shit system. For psychological issues, the services seem to be very limited in scope and offered to limited places for funding available. People have to fight pretty hard to get decent services from the NDIS. Families with children with high level disabilities (need help with everything in life) are complaining that their support will cut under the new NDIS system. If you already have a support package in place, keep it in place as long as possible.

It's just for an assessment. I think you can self-manage your funds or get a company to organise it (charge an administrative fee). If you think you will benefit from it and see things you want to do that will improve your well-being (covering the cost of social badminton or other activity) which links to your disability you should for it. They aren't going to judge you to heavily, you have been diagnosed and they are just going to determine the level of support you need.

I just can't ahead.

Had the VE Commodore in for its 6 monthly service. Get a call this afternoon saying they didn't proceed with the service after the cylinder heads were found to be "leaking badly".

They (the Holdens dealer) quoted me $3500 to have the heads "re-machined" or $4500 for a second hand engine.

It's a 2008 VE. I purchased it in 2012 for $20K. It had only one female owner and about 45,000km on the clock. I've had it serviced every six months without fail, and it has only just ticked over 100,000km.

The car is in excellent physical condition, but I'd be lucky to get $8 or $9k for it if I sold it.

I can't justify dropping half the sale value of the car on engine work.

I just can't see how in 6 months the engine block could suddenly develop a massive failure. Surely the cylinder head is just bolted to the block with a gasket in between?

One of the guys in the service department followed me outside when I was leaving and told me to get a second opinion, so I'll call the RAA tomorrow.

He could take it further if they didn't want to cover consumers in Australia have rights under law that cannot be excluded.

Labor costs also are a bitch when working in the engine. Any major work around the engine will be expensive, but dealerships have a premium on a premium in my belief. On the old Barina we were going to get two front seat belts fixed in the car we eventually sold. Holden dealership gave us a quote of around $1,000 when the car is even worth that. They said it needed a special machine they had. Midas had the same machine and could do it for $600, we never got it fixed though.

Dealerships are cunts, I wouldn't even be surprised if they are just trying to take him for a ride, if the car is derivable (it probably wouldn't be with two blown head gaskets) take it two a smaller reputable mechanic and get it checked out, or have it towed there.

>>31113

It depends on the car, also depends on how much damage the leaking gasket has caused, and to stop another leak from happening you send the head or heads off to a machine shop and have them shaved, so you have nice new metal for the gasket to seat properly on.

To get it done, and then throw it on itch.io or whatever to get those sweet 30 plays and so people can be like "yeah not the worst game I've played, innit" and then everyone goes home and wanks off.

It's not going to be special. It's a 2D pixel indie shmup. As far as exciting projects go that's up there with slightly soggy white bread. But efforts gone into it, at least.

Feeling a bit like a drug dealer here - but if you want to look into loose leaf tea, it's a hell of a lot stronger and brews better than any teabag I've used.

It's time to care, it's ok to feel. Let your heart dictate direction, stop rationalising with your consciousness and just let your self be.

You over analyse you situation and judge effect from all around you when your heart was doing it without being tainted by all that so called knowledge, the more we learn the further from self we get.

All this information we learn to "help" us discern right from wrong when we intrinsically understood it from the start.

We don't need to try so hard.

I don't think we're capable of changing that or are responsible for it.

Funny story with the French side though, when the French were taking Vanuatu and Polynesia the boat my great-great-great-great-great-grandfather was on (I think that's the right amount of greats) was passing Qld (It wasn't actually stopping but land was visible) he jumped ship and "swam to Australia" leaving a family back in France. When he got here slavery was still legal and he got some Islanders as slaves to work on the cane fields, which isn't really how he made his money. When slavery was abolished the gov. had to subsidise the slave owners for loss of property and that's how he made his money.

He then bought land in Albury but that ended up divided over the generations.

Still, pretty interesting and it might be mixed in with some bullshit but that's the story I know about that side.
