any ausfags thinking of become a hermit or living away from society? I'm thinking of living out in the bush somewhere on a plot of land with a single person dwelling.

My plan is to go off grid with a small solar array, tank water and buying food in bulk and supplementing with a small garden. My final goal is to reduce expenses so much so I don't have to work very often or do cashies for cunts to pay for my expenses.

So, /aus/ in exchange for some OC, I ask for advice, do any of you cunts know of some good places to buy land for cheap? I'm looking to get a 1 bedroom house on around 20+ acres of land. it doesn't matter if its out in the middle of nowhere, 100k max.

i plan on buying one and just living outside a mates place

I'd do that but I need reliable internet access, I know you can get those dongle things, but you don't get much data and I doubt ping would be very good.

You're not going to get reliable internet if you are on 20 acres of land in the middle of no where. Mobile reception in rural and remote is area is patchy at best, even the bandwidth sucks because you're offer so far away and many people are using it. You'll most likely be stuck with satellite or fixed wireless unless you do get reception but need to use a booster.

A homestead would be lovely but i'm not ready to settle. Gonna check out of society and apply for the french foreign legion first. With any luck there will be a major happening within the next 5 years, after which i reckon i will go homestead here.
