I use a combination of the Fume Ultra Greatsword, Dragon Tooth, and Havel's Great shield.
I also rock almost all of Vengarl's Armor except I use the Crown of the Sunken King.
I like to use the Dragon Tooth just on my back as a backup weapon and because it gives me Magic and Fire defense buffs, but if I'm fighting some dumb shit I switch to the great shield and just 1 hand my FUGS.

Agreed though, the studies in general are not very strong one way or the other, and that is the problem. It is why, under Obama, the surgery was refused to be covered by medicare, citing poor studies with conflicting results, small sample sizes and lack of controls. Some studies show good comes from treatments, some show harm is.
