I think most people who use that study, however, are misusing it in the sense that they are taking the information and using it for their own ends. Again, I think we need a lot more studies on this whole thing to be conclusive. Improved mental health means little when it doesn't improve suicide rates.

I don't think it's unreasonable to assume that a significant improvement in mental health does indeed improve suicide attempt rates. If a person is significantly more mentally healthy than they were previously, then they aren't going to be as suicidal as they were. So, this considered, all the studies that suggest significantly improved mental health (several of which I posted last thread) do suggest that treatment reduces likelihood of suicide attempts. There haven't been a lot of studies on suicide attempt rates specifically, but I did post a couple things on that as well. All things considered, the evidence currently points to transition being the best treatment.

The point is that you stated that transwomen are referred to as just "women" because we understand that they fall into that category. You then gave me a way to prove the case by looking up article in the method you described to prove that these transwomen are being referred as soley "women". I've heard of "he/him" lesbians, but I don't know much about that. Evidently it's a usage that works within a community.

There's nothing that makes that wrong on an absolue level. What matters for common usage is if it works. Will people understand you? Probably not. Will people understand me if I call a transgender woman a woman? Yes.

Except they aren't both women in any practical usage or common usage. They are separate groups that can't reasonably by co-mingled without some major disclaimers. I would be more correct in pointing towards a group of Transwomen and calling them all males than you would be calling them women.
