Nausicaa as a movie was butchered, as the manga wasn't finished. alright, first I boil some chow mein noodles for about 2 minutes, while heating up the pan and putting in some vegetable oil, having my other ingredients prepped;

first I put the shrimp in, it needs to cook longer. while that's going on I check the chow mein and drain it. the vegetables go in with the shrimp already sizzling; mushrooms, celery, red peppers, diced onions, salt, lemon juice. add in the chow mein noodles, soy sauce, toss and fry in the pan, make sure the shrimp's cooked, veggies are lightly seared, noodles are just slightly seared too and turn darker with the soy; nothing else much needed.

there are few things you can joke about with me, that I will take deadly seriously, and one of them is cooking because I take that very seriously. I'm a huge critic as well and have a lot to say about shitty practices in the industry, I did once work in a restaurant and I have had an actual stint as a cook, which really turned me on to proper cooking practices afterwards, and how disgusting some places really are when you have been on the inside; in that way I really respect Gordon Ramsey's discipline and conduct and understand why he demands consistency from people, because one dish has to be the best every time it's made and there are no shortcuts or lazy chefs.

I am not on that level, probably never will be, don't really aspire to be classically trained, all I go by is my taste. So, critics aside, as long as enjoy what I make, it doesn't matter who hates it or why they hate it, or tell me how I could make my art better, maybe I will take some criticism if it's constructed and the little points touch base and matter to me, but general criticism without substance is laughable.
