I really am enjoying the Tokyo Ghoul manga but I gotta wonder what's going through the minds of the translation team. There's mistakes like this where a whole sentence isn't even finished translated and left blank. Then appropriately there's the thing underneath that highlights another issue. If you're gonna be translating a story, why keep the original word instead of the translated one? Hetare could've just been 'Loser' instead. They do this same thing with the 'One Eyed Ghoul (King)' by translating it like 3 different ways. I just don't get it. Go all the way with your translations. This is the only series I own that's had these kinds of issues.

They should just translate it to their best ability and add a "Missed in translation" notes at the end of the comic, that explains about the weird japanese culture.

That would work as well.

Probably the first infographic I`ve ever seen from /a/ by the time I started browsing imageboards years ago was how you should buy manga on their original language. Have you been awake in the past 5 years? English speaking translators have no idea about the media or about japanease culture and language and their tropes. They constantly butcher source material in manga, LN and videogames and here you are saying you buy the trash from them, Tokyo fucking Ghoul a trash TRASH manga that none should waste their money on it but there you are.

You deserve it, you are the reason the west is killing anime and manga.

>Buying an inferior product to an amateur product

At least in other fields they make a bit of an effort to make it seem like they're giving you a better product than what you can get for free.

That would fuck more than just books, Charlie.

Enjoy your EMP or just fucking lack of alternating current.

Then import from Japan.

Mods please ban all discussion of dubbed and licensed shit on the board. There's already a Crunchycuck thread and a dub nigger thread.

I follow like 15 manga series through physical releases. Tokyo Ghoul is the only one I've bought that's ever had this kind of printing issue.
