I have all the games except for the gachashit. I like the franchise very much, they're like that one local place that sells good burgers. It's good, filling and simple with no flairs, but it's not a healthy dish that you should eat all day. It's something you enjoy every once in a while.
My favorite ninjas are Asuka (her voice and normal-ish charm are good, even more when the extra chapters play with her resenting being considered plain), Minori (fang, fights with diabetes and she's a happy energetic girl), Mirai (flat kitty with a seriously cute side), Hikage (her voice is damn alluring and she can be hilarious) and Shiki (looks like a bimbo but she's not totally one).
I only wish the games start using the Youma more because the designs were great, and the novel parts pinned down just how dangerous they can be. I guess it's hard to continue doing games when you can't really kill off the girls or reaching a point where they can't revert to the status quo. I still like the games very much.

I have all of the games except for the mobile/gatcha one, and I've seen the TV anime and OVAs. The games are decent, they're ecchi games with simple but fun gameplay. I'd say the only "bad" entry in the games is Senran Kagura 2 on 3DS, which is a controversial statement. They did some cool things with enemy designs and started going in a more serious direction with the story. Unfortunately their attempt to make more complex and difficult combat falls flat, the game is super broken in terms of balance and damage. The rest of the series is often faulted for being too easy.
There are some spinoff games including a rhythm game and a surprisingly decent Splatoon knockoff, but the multiplayer is dead.
The TV anime was okay but nothing amazing. You can tell they "held back" a bit more on the lewd because the games were only on Nintendo's (the irony being Soyny turned out worse with moralfagging a few years later) platform, but the characters and their charms/quirks carried it much like they do in the games.
There is an OVA from one of the newer titles that is much more lewd, and the upcoming show "must have nipples" according to the series creator.

Just watched the first episode this morning- nipples are there, but he tone was kinda fucked up.
