I only made this so I can have my question answered edition.
I watch anime with MPC-HC and the Kawaii Codec Pack which I downloaded from Haruhichan. I often have issues with files that have both Japanese dub and English dub added into it which automatically selects either English dub or no subs meaning I have to manually change it everytime. I already tried changing preferences in the options but that didn't change anything. How do I remove the English dub altogether from these files and/or have it automatically select English subs?
Pic related is what I have set as my preferences in terms of audio and subtitles, I know the subtitle one is quite long but I have already tried different things with it and it NEVER picks English subs automatically if there is more than one subtitle track.

You could write a config for your player, but, video files will have sub tracks and voice tracks in different orders. There really isnt a hard and fast, easy answer to that.

It was merely okay. It didn't leave much of an impression on me. For much of the runtime, the anime focuses on sideplots, only really getting to the main conflict of the anime (the capture of the baby dragon and Chise's resulting arm problem) a few episodes after the halfway point. And I didn't care about the antagonist at all, just didn't find him an engaging character. It wasn't clear to me why the antagonist was so interested in Chise, and it seemed contrived that he kept running into the main characters as often as he did prior to the anime getting into the main conflict.
The sideplots were enjoyable taken as a magical adventure mixed with slice-of-life. The little bits of worldbuilding that were present in most episodes were pretty nice. The most annoying thing was that episodes tended to end on a cliffhanger that would be trivially resolved in the first minute of the next episode, sometimes with that next episode ending on its own cliffhanger. If that kind of thing pisses you off, it's probably not worth watching.

All in all, its really more of an issue that parallel world bullshit doesn't sit well with people.

Alt as a whole was supposed to be the Sumika route of Unlimited, but they more or less got hit by the plot equivalent of feature creep, and probably even programming feature creep, with what they were doing with rUGP compared to Unlimited.
Mostly guessing, but I assume that since S00mika was pretty much steering Takeru to picking her brainjar self's route in each iteration of the Unlimited loops the idea would have probably the same sort of gimmick as Extra where upon clearing all the other heroines, Sumika's route would unlock.
The cut content, I believe was mostly in the original hive invasion, with the most jarring skip being how fast they jumped from orbital drop to everyone dying deep in the tunnels right next to the final boss. Although since they started to run out of money and time, I wouldn't be surprised the ending took a decent hit as well.

Have you ever heard of Neotokyo? It's a f2p shooter on steam with a small, tightly-knit community which mostly consists of both cuckchanners and the occasional people from this site. Also, it's 100% free so there's no pay-to-win shit to it or anything, it was a HL2 mod inspired by Ghost in the Shell and has survived entirely by devoted players keeping it alive. The game is set in futuristic Japan so there's a very strong otaku vibe to it with maps taking place in subways and there being vending machines everywhere.
It was the only online game I have ever bothered playing and I had installed steam just for the sake of playing it since I pirate everything else so if you're interested in the concept, I'd love to play together. Since the game is barely active outside of fridays and saturdays we could even do a board-wide event and have an entire server to our own.

Also using mal as a database is fine as long as you don't discuss anime with the retards there. Probably going to get reeeeed at for that but it's a tool not a discussion platform. Their rating system is scaled upward so things you might consider a 4 will be a 7. Also anichart is a good resource for planning your seasonal anime viewing at least in the beginning. Fall season starts in about a month. For classics like you seem to be looking for you can get a decent idea of what to watch as a newfag by checking out people's top tens. Just duckduckgo "genre you are interested in" then top ten and that will get you started. If you like a show then look up the staff's names based on what you liked about it and try to find other stuff they've done. It's not a foolproof method but you're more likely to find elements you like by following certain people with certain styles you enjoy. That should be a good primer to keep you going for a few hundred anime.

I've been watching Kaizoku fansubs of One Piece and the quality of the rips is getting to me. What are my other options? I love the fansubs, but not only that, this is the only 4:3 aspect ratio I've found. Horriblesubs is Godawful but the picture quality is so good.
Are there any other good fansub groups for the early episodes? Do higher quality rip kaizoku fansubs exist?
