After deferring from watching sports anime forever, I finally caved and watched One Outs; it was pretty good. Are you a fan of sports anime? I always wrote it off as normalfag shit but I'll be watching more probably.
Protip: avoid most of the canonized sport anime, they're shit.

I stop watching any sport anime/manga after watching Kuroko no Basuke. I watched it without knowing the source material and that shit is so blatantly obvious it's made by shonen jump it's not funny. I mean I enjoyed Eye Shield 21 but Kuroko no Basuke tries really hard with the shonen tropes.

Hell naw, sonny. Not even the nips could make chest super exciting like the sports genre calls for.
What you are seeing is some of the most hype middle school (super sweaty) girls ping pong this side of the planet. Manly passion, super sick skillshots, and intense yuri, all backed by one of the dopest soundtracks you've ever heard. Everyone who even pretends to like sports anime should watch this fucking masterpiece.

I'm about 50 or so episodes into Ippo and I really like it. Never thought I'd be into an anime that's just about a kid boxing but it's a really fun ride so far. The fights are pretty hyped up and the slice of life shit isn't too boring or goofy that it makes me cringe and those parts don't overstay their welcome. It's no wonder that this is one of the few sports anime I've consistently seen recommended.

Depends how much you know about cars. The plot.series itself isn't very well made, but the more you know about how cars work and their physics makes the series better and better. Basically, if you know how cars work, it's like watching an intricate Jojo fight where everyone has specific powers and use them in clever ways. If you don't know shit, it's like watching DBZ where people pull special abilities out of their ass to make the fight seem interesting.

Hey this season has a sport anime and no one posted in this thread yet?
Gurazeni is about a left-handed baseball pitcher who's all about the financial game and wants to make the most profitable career for himself so he can retire confortably early.
First episode was a little weak since they didn't estabilish any kind of conflict yet, though.

Yesterday I was disowned by my sister for watching Kuroko no Basket. She also says that sports anime is for boring normalfags and/or fujoshit. Normally I would agree, but first few episodes in it looks surprisingly good, like a really fun high T anime for real men. Am I wrong?

I really love the biting pressure a great sports anime makes you feel. When Akagi gets his fourth foul in their match against Ryonan and Mitsui collapses, your heart stops - and then when Kogure makes a three-pointer, you feel total rapture. Then… this happens.

Hanebado! had a very good first episode. I know they usually go all out on the first few episode's budget, to attract people, but it had above average animation even considering that. I don't even care for badminton (would prefer if it was tennis tbh) but I might watch this just to see girls getting incredibly mad and frustrated at each other
