Why do people like this turd again? The setup and romance are really contrived, almost everyone but the grandmother is a one-note character, and the mad AI subplot is the same shit we've seen six million times already. Don't even get me started on the protagonist's non-chemistry with his supposed love interest, which is so weak that viewers often assume he'll hook up with the brown furfag instead.
>muh family
There are shitloads of movies with similar themes and they handle them much better.
This is no The Girl Who Leapt Through Time. It's not even a Wolf Children. It's just trash.

I love it. Hosoda basically copying the Digimon movie he worked on but I watch it now and again and I still like it. Partly of the plot tying cyberspace and the real world and part because I wish I had a family that big with eccentric aunts and uncles. Also learnt Hanafuda from that which I enjoy as an occasional pass time. Can play games of it in Yakuza at least.
Kazuma has more images than Natsuki on danbooru, mainly because of all the trap porn

Yes. Tomboys don't have fursonas, let alone male fursonas.

>learnt Hanafuda
<In 1549, the 18th year of Tenbun, the missionary Francis Xavier landed in Japan. The crew of his ship carried a set of 48 Portuguese Hombre playing cards from Europe, and eventually this led to the popularity of card games and gambling in Japan. When Japan subsequently closed off all contact with the Western world in 1633, foreign playing cards were banned.[3]
well
>Over the next few decades, several new card games were developed and subsequently banned because they were used almost exclusively for gambling purposes. However, the government began to realize that some form of card games would always be played by the populace, and began to relax their laws against gambling. The eventual result of all this was a game called Hanafuda, which combined traditional Japanese games with Western-style playing cards
that's interesting

Why the fuck wasn't it about a guy dating a tomboy who is too socially awkward to find love in real life and thus could only flirt online. The plot could be that due to her being an autistic fuck everyone assumes she's a man and gay at that thus isolating her even more.
That would have been so much better than the contrived generic shit it ended up being.

It was wholesome and the digital world parts were the first time I'd seen not shit CGI Japanese Animation. I think it perfectly encaptulates a "feel good" movie about being a part of a large family and the oddballs that crop up.I totally agree it's plot is painfully generic, but the characters reminded me of my big extended family and how chaotic family reunions are.
I would still say it's nothing amazing but pretty to look at and again, wholesome. Solid 7/10 movie.

Nobody likes that crap. It's blogs like IGN and ANN that push these productions for the international market.
Unfortunately, the 30 nerds making this place have a blindspot when it comes to news. You will see them parroting blog posts in the total belief it is actually anon opinions.

Weebs have terrible taste in movies and there's not much competition if you limit yourself to animated movies in japan. There's like maybe 4 that come out each year that aren't a recap or kids movie. That's why you're more likely to find good anime series because there's more competition. (Animated) Movies are all shallow because they have to sell those family tickets. There's simply no market for completely original movies, at best you get some low-budget movie that looks no different from its live-action counterpart. Even then you won't get anything aimed at you. The target audience is simply different. You're not it.
I even read a review on MAL (yeah I know) of someone praising a shin chan movie because it was all about >muh family and it contained some contrived quotes that could apply to literally every single movie out there.
People just want to dick the black shota. But I much preferred the first half of War Game (second half is a snooze).
You know it's bad but you also know people like it because they're stupid. What's the purpose of this thread. You know you're in the right because you are right. Stupid people are unable to tell you why they liked a movie that made their peepee feel funny. So they'll just dump images in an attempt to derail actual discussion. Not that there's any to be had because, like I said before, you are right.

The only difference is that 4/a/ does this for years whereas we have the self awareness to let things die.

I want to see it. Wanna make my own opinion of it. I watched like 50% of Genocidal Organ the other day, had to stop when the faggot bad guy began spouting off about the Holocaust like that wouldn't have been debunked 6 gorillion times in the future. Now that's a bad movie, the only good scene is the battle scene leading up to the bad guy's capture where a bunch of soldiers kill nig-child soldiers in africa.
