It has been a while now that 8 chan has been removed from Google search.

Things will not improve.

It's it time to move to another location?

No.

Does this mean we're part of the deep web?

8chan itself is semi-dead but not dead enough, the problem is self-segregation. A lot more people use /v/ instead of this board. There's also /vm/ which is essentially the same thing, but it's a separate board for historical reasons. Also /prog/. These all are semi-dead apart from thread on /v/ but being merged together we'd have enough traffic.

I both love and hate this about 8ch. I love it in that any niche interest can start their own board. I hate it in that most of 8chan is dead, empty boards.

It has, however, gotten me out of the habit of staying in my home board and not venturing out. It is also fun to try and guess users across boards (based on images posted, writing style, etc).

I love the free speech ethos here, even if it does invite some morally questionable content. To me though, that is simply the price we pay for free speech. We might not like everything everyone has to say all the time. As long as it can be kept to containment boards, this seems to be the most balanced, civil way of doing things in my eyes.

What really pisses me off though is when people spam CP on the boards. it seems to have slowed down but was crazy about a month ago.

8chan can be found on google search. Not all boards, but most. When I typed "8chan" into google search it was on 9th place.

5efe24 (15) No.26087

Even if Google doesn't directly link to 8chan, a search for 8chan usually turns up a lot of results talking about how Google removed 8chan from its search results. Anyone who is already trying to google 8chan will easily be able to find it from that much.

The only problem is if people don't have a reason to leave the places they're already from to come to 8chan. GG pushed a lot of 4chan users to 8chan because the censorship was intolerable, but it's been a while since then, so unless people who like being on a chan get fucked with again, I wouldn't expect any more major influxes.

When I type 8chan into Google, I get mostly things about it not being in google. The site itself doesn't show up in the first three pages (didn't check more). If you search for more specific terms you can find it, but you also find a lot of dead links.

5efe24 (15) No.26328>>26334

Theres enough community to make coming here worthwhile, but being unlisted will keep restrict the inflow of new users to a manageable size, so we don't get swamped with cancer the way halfchan was

5efe24 (15) No.26334>>27314

Getting new users wasn't what destroyed 4chan. Betrayal by moot and a backdoor influx of SJWs into janitor/mod positions was what destroyed 4chan.

>Getting new users wasn't what destroyed 4chan.

But it was... think of how those events even came about in the first place.

It didn't just "magically occur", there was a cause, and that was a large contributing factor to those dominoes falling in the first place.

The betrayal was top-down, not bottom-up.
