I can't offer a comparrison to megamaxes since they're not readily available in the EU, and thus I've never tried one.

They are definitely some of the better abdl I've bought in terms of quality and the hook and loop tapes work really well, think velcro but made out of plastic. They probably won't last as long as velcro, but are fine for a few readjustments throughout the day.

I just open up and fold the diaper in half, like form a trench starting from the front all the way to the back. Then I unfold it and grip the diaper in sections (back, middle, front) and just uhh shuffle it around to loosen the material inside it.

I just received a pack of northshore's supreme air diapers as well as their regular supreme ones in blue (!)

I really like how discrete the air supremes are, since I am stuck at home with parents and a sibling. I am a little less impressed with their performance to be honest. I went in the first one a total of 4 times, and they were starting to leak some on the 3rd, and were leaking bad by the 4th time. (I was sitting on a bed pad / puppy pad so I didnt have too much cleanup to do) Granted, I went a pretty sizeable amount all 4 times I wet them, especially the first 3 times, but still. I wasnt going for a 12 hour diaper like the megamax, (which I LOVE by the way) but I think they were advertised as either 6 or 8 hour diapers, and I feel like either one should be able to handle 3 (maybe 4) large wettings or 4 to 6 smaller or medium sized ones without having massive leakage. And I really do mean massive. The pad I was sitting on was totally saturated by the 4th wetting. I think part of the problem is that the wings are not made of the same waterproof backing as the main part of the diaper, so if anything gets to that point then it just gets sucked/wicked right out onto whatever you are sitting on. The leak guards didn't extend quite as far towards the back as they would on a heavier capacity diaper either I think. (I could be wrong about that though). I definitely did notice that they didn't have the same amount of what I call "hold" strength as a megamax or other high capacity diaper. (again, not expecting these to have the same capacity or construction necessarily) (Ill explain what I mean by "hold strength" in another post here in a second)

Another thing that I want to love about these, but am slightly underwhelmed about, are their tapes, which are a hybrid of hook and loop and adhesive. I read "hook and loop" and thought "infinitely re-tape-able" and that isn't really how these work. They are not bad, but if you go crazy with adjusting them eventually the cloth backing starts to separate from the diaper's front. The adhesive part of it can help, but the first one I tried I ended up just using a bunch of tape.

Has anybody tried these, and if so am I doing something wrong with them? I did fluff them, but they felt rather dense/stiff even after that. Im currently trying my second one with a booster in it, so hopefully that will help (so far it is).

I think I explained what I mean by "hold" strength in an in depth review of a megamax that I wrote up without really intending to do so (not sure if it was on /dpr/, /abdl/, or julay dot world). But in short, what I mean by "hold strength" is how well the diaper holds on to liquid *after* it has absorbed it. A good example of bad hold strength is if you are standing up and wet and the diaper fully absorbs everything (no standing or pooled liquid anywhere) but then you sit down and the added pressure causes the diaper to release some of the absorbed liquid, causing it to pool and usually leak shortly after. If a diaper has really good hold strength, then it will still "hold" on to any previously absorbed liquid no matter how pressure/weight is distributed or applied.

So I just took off the one with the booster in it after wearing it over night and it seems to have helped tremendously. I didn't leak at all this time, but I also wasn't flooding it either. Also, it helped that I didn't go ape-shit with the tapes as soon as I put in on this time. Just set them and left them alone. I tried messing them this morning, and I would say they held up really well. (I had made new tapes out of duct tape before doing this, however, as the original ones were pretty much shot and it was getting kinda loose) I was expecting them to do a terrible job of odor control, but it actually wasn't that bad I think. I even moved around in them a little and it still wasn't bad. Now it wasn't like you couldn't smell something stinky mind you, but it was better than I was expecting a cloth backed diaper to do. It probably helped that I had just fashioned my own tapes that made a really good seal around my legs too.

Yeah, basically the idea is to loosen up all the fibers so that it increases the internal surface area. I can post a video somewhere next time I put one on if you like, but its pretty much what people have said. My personal technique is to start with folding it in half lengthwise and then kind of roll the crease either way, then do the same thing at a 90 degree angle, and finally just sort of ruffle it a bit.

I would recommend "fake messing" using bananas instead of oatmeal. I feel like its easier to get it in, its more like the real thing, and its less likely to leak since its more or less solid. I would go with greener bananas if you can though, just to make it easier to insert. Dont worry about the odor or anything from wetting. Unless you have very strong urine, or you stay in it for 12+ hours, once you take the diaper off it wont really leave any noticeable smell. You might bring in a banana into the office and have it opened and half eaten or something just in case someone comes in and they notice, but it shouldnt even be that noticeable. Then put all these double bags to third one with silica because plastic is not completely vapor proof (except expensive ones like mylar etc.) and tens of years of storing is long time so its better to be safe than sorry.

Those little desiccant bags in shoe boxes etc. have warnings but silica is actually nontoxic. It's like sap. Some kitty litters are pure silica (ones looking like crystals) which is very cheap way to get it.

I bought it because I have a soft spot for the design because its reminiscent of the goodnites with camo prints, I like blue and all, and I have been looking for an ABDL diaper that is printed, but not *quite* as babyish as most prints.

What I didnt expect was how good they would feel. I havn't tried any tykables diapers since they released the hook and loop tapes, and while I really wanted to try them just for said tapes, I guess I expected the diaper itself to be pretty much the same as any other heavy duty diaper. I was very wrong.

The plastic feels very heavy duty. All diapers say they have "super strong plastic" but these are the heaviest grade shell I have seen in a diaper (although full disclosure, I havn't tried THAT many) I mean, if you are *trying* to punch a hole in them or rip them, you could, but it wouldnt be easy. certainly no way its going to regularly happen accidentally unless you are doing some kind of Peruvian death-combat training in them or something.

The also say they are cut extra wide (their "waddle cut") and again, I thought "yeah yeah they all say that" but these really are wider than any diaper I have tried so far. I also thought "so what if they are wider, whats the big deal?" and it turns out that it really does feel really good. I cant say for sure as I havnt worn them very long, but I am thinking it might end up reducing how much it folds over on itself in the middle. They just feel really secure on me, and they are very easy to trust. Like I can do whatever in these without feeling like im going to break them. Another really nice thing I noticed was the "poof" factor on my bottom. It wasn't visually bulky (at least I dont think it was) but the padding on my backside feels very substantial, and honestly I really like it. (I did notice that sitting down on carpet for a while somewhat reduced this feeling, but not by much, and a little ruffling and it was better) I've never been into really bulky diapers, in fact I usually like them to be discreet. But again, this feels *good*.

The tapes are pretty much perfect. Like, you just cant get any better than this, we have reached perfection. They feel very sturdy, they grip very readily, and after taking them off and putting them back on again, there was absolutely no indication that they lost any of that. Now, its possible that these will not last the lifespan of the diaper, but I highly, highly doubt that.

As for absorbancy, so far I have only went in them twice, so I cant say for sure. They appear to absorb very fast though, so thats good. (my theory about diaper capacity, leaks, wicking, and absorption speed is basically that leaks happen because of pooling, and pooling happens either because A) the diaper cant absorb fast enough and/or B) the diaper does not wick enough of the moisture to other parts of the diaper, thereby reducing overall absorption speed as well as limiting its total capacity to the capacity of the area that is being wicked to)

Ill have to wait and see about how it performs absorption wise overall, but so far it seems very promising.

Another thing relating to the width is that it feels very roomer in the front. With some diapers it feels like I pretty much need to keep all my bits pointing straight down the center line of the diaper, but theres so much room in these that I feel like I have plenty of padding no matter how things are lined up down there.

The cost is the obvious downside to these. But if there was ever a diaper that might *actually need* to be priced at $40 for a 10 pack due to manufacture and materials cost in order to be profitable, these are it. I used a discount code from either an Instagram or tumblr to shave off 10% though, so that was nice.

Try setting a timer for every 5 or 10 or 15 minutes, and just try to go then. If its too short you wont be able to go, so dont be afraid to bump up the time interval a little.

Another idea involves drinking a LOT of water. This may seem a bit counter intuitive, but bear with me. This system relies on a few different properties about how your body manages water. First of all, your body can only absorb a certain amount of water in a given period of time. This has nothing to do with how well hydrated you are. Even if you are dehydrated, this rule of absorption still applies. Second, your body has a particular "target" level of hydration. If it has enough water coming in, it will try to retain this amount. Third, if it has more than that amount of water, it will attempt to remove water from itself by using your kidneys to dump it into your bladder.

So your goal here is to have more water in your body than your body wants, triggering your kidneys to attempt to dump the excess. You do this of course by drinking water. I have found that it works best if you drink a large amount of water all at once than it does drinking smaller amounts over time. The goal is to have your body absorbing water at its maximum rate, and you do that by giving it more water than it can absorb at a given time. Start off by drinking one or two large glasses of water. You dont need to make yourself uncomfortable, so if you dont drink the second one thats fine. Next, just wait until you need to pee and then go as soon as you feel the urge. This can be in a diaper, but for the first time you might want to try just using a toilet to get an idea of what it takes to make this work with your body. You want your pee to be totally clear when you go, as in not even a little tinted. Being totally clear means that the majority of the fluid in your bladder is just excess water your body was trying to get rid of. Once you pee, go ahead and drink another large glass of water. If your pee wasnt totally clear, go ahead and drink more than you did before if it doesnt feel uncomfortable. You should also note the time when you pee so you can track the time between urges. If you are waiting more than an hour between getting the first indications you need to go, you can increase your water intake. I would shoot for a frequency of once every 45 to 60 minutes, although if its more frequent thats fine too. Remember you want to drink a glass of water every time you pee. The idea is to perpetually keep your kidneys working at a particular speed, and if you drink less water than is coming out, they will slow down as your body gets closer to its equilibrium point.

So why are you doing all this? Basically you are going for high urine output and consistency. You want to be able to know within about 5 to maybe 10 minutes when you will need to pee next, starting from the last time you peed. That way, you can pick a point about halfway in between and try to empty your bladder then, when your bladder is only half as full as it would normally be when you first get the urge to go. So although you are going a lot more, you can actually end up going less at any given time.

Another benefit is that diapers absorb dilute urine better than they do more concentrated pee. This is because of the way the hydrogel in the diapers that give them their absorbent properties work. If you have ever heard the term "hydrogen bonding" from highschool chemistry, that is basically how they work. The hydrogel is a molecule that is very, very good at forming hydrogen bonds with water. If, however, you introduce impurities into the water, it becomes less effective. Salt in particular is good at doing this, and concentrated urine has a lot of salt in it. TDLR: your diaper works better when you are hydrated.

Another thing: over hydration IS a thing, and it CAN hurt you, but unless you are going super crazy, like competitive water drinking crazy, you should be fine. If you are worried about that, you can try substituting in some gatorade or fruit juice every now and then, or eating something salty. If you start to feel light headed and or dizzy, stop drinking. Your body will tell you if you are going to cause real damage to it, and as long as you dont ignore it you will be fine. Also, I would not recommend drinking this much water EVERY day for days on end. A full day is totally fine though, so long as you dont notice anything wrong like dizziness, lightheadedness, nausea, difficulty moving, etc. These should only ever appear when you are drinking a ridiculous amount of water. The reason it becomes a problem is it messes with the salt balance in your body at a cellular level. Your cells rely on a certain amount of osmotic pressure to move good things inside the cell and move bad things out. Changing the salt/electrolyte level of the rest of the body too much will make it difficult for cells to do one or both of these. Also, your nervous system uses a particular blend of stuff between synapses to make your nerves fire and carry the signal from one cell to the next. Having your electrolytes severely out of balance can disrupt this. Again, this isnt something you need to worry about unless you are drinking literally gallons of water.

Tykables camo/overnights are actually really nice. The "waddle cut" is real, its not just a marketing ploy. They are wider, and it does feel really really nice.
