I've tried a couple so far.
Depends "Protection with tabs: These were my first because they're everywhere and available. Quite thin, tend to hold a respectable amount, not the best at keeping from leaking. There's leaking from not being able to hold a lot, leaking from not being able to absorb quickly and leaking from pressure, how easily it escapes from moving around. Depends was lower mid range for all of these. It does it's job. The texture on the inside was okay, comfortable but not exceptional. Tapes stick okay, but when pulling them you have to be careful that they don't tear off, which is easy to do. Notably they have a plastic smell to them, most diapers I've worn tend to be neutral with no odor, just something that stands out. Not too crinkly but it's there. Not very breathable and you can feel sweaty after awhile in them.
Overall, best qualities are cheapness and ubiquity.
Molicare Super Plus: Second one I tried, notably thicker, second thickest diaper I've worn to date. Interior texture was smooth, felt great when wet. Held a lot, tended not to squish out, and absorbed quickly. These are genuinely made for heavy duty incontinence and are definitely great at that. I also like that they're a different color than white, being purple. Two tapes on each side held strong, and didn't tear easily. Didn't crinkle too much, which may be a pro/con depending on your point of view. A little on the pricier side, but the quality makes up for it in my opinion. Breathability was better despite being plastic backed.
Overall, excellent diaper whose only downside seems to be it's hard to find places that order by the case and they're on the pricier side.
Northshore Supreme: The thickest diaper I've worn to date. Made for heavy night incontinence. Holds the biggest amount, tends not to squish out, but doesn't absorb fast so be careful not to flood it. Interior texture isn't the greatest, but it's not uncomfortable. Fairly crinkly, also tends to be stiff due to it's thickness, which personally I like that it resists me closing my legs. Breathability wise it's plastic backed but I swear it's thickness made it feel more breathable than it ought to have been. The stickiness of the tapes hasn't failed me that I know of but it's easy to peel off, so rubbing from clothes or something might cause problems. The tapes are exceptional on the pull strength though, you can close them super tight and they won't break. Price is quite alright in my opinion, getting from their website they're fairly cheap for a case.
Overall: Very thick and economical, making these a great buy in my opinion.
ABU Lavenders: Scent is what they sell you on for these, and it's there and is fairly pleasant. Girly design is fun, single tape is great for little space, it sticks well but the tapes can be pulled off on accident so be careful. I didn't have a molicare left over to compare against but I feel they're about as thick. Interior wise the texture is smooth and is honestly the best feel of any that I've tried to date. Unusually quiet for the way the plastic feels like it'd be loud. Breathability wise, again, despite being plastic backed seems to handle breathability well I think because of thickness. Holds a great amount, probably more than the molicare. Tends to leak from squishing out along the legs, happened on a couple of occasions, isn't fast at absorbing but not bad either. Price wise I think this is the most expensive per unit diaper I've bought. I enjoy them and kinda save them for a good time.
Overall: Great thickness, comfort, and cuteness coupled with being a good diaper in general make this one that I enjoy.
Dotty the Pony: Moderate thickness, cute design are the top things. Package I got the very first diaper the landing zone was missing and so was one of the tapes, plastic wasn't bonded over the cotton the only thing it was useful for was as a stuffer. A couple other diapers out of that pack were missing adhesive on the tape. No other diapers to date have I had these kinds of problems, so that stands out painfully. Poor breathability with the plastic backing, even on a cool day I feel like I was sweating in these. Internal texture is probably the worst of all of these. Can hold a decent amount. Squishes out a bit and is okay at absorbing quickly, which is probably the only other redeeming factor.
I feel mean in saying this, maybe I'll come around later on or something but, these are the worst diapers I've worn to date, though I think they're the cutest ones out there. The only worse diapers I've tried were medical ones that I think were knock-offs of abena's. I'd be interested in hearing other people's opinions on this one since this pack was a train wreck.
