I went to the kaikodo store the other day.

They used to be wary of foreigners, but the sweet old guy proudly showed me that he learned how to use the translation app and can now communicate with foreigners. It's still a bit of a struggle though, as you have to set an appointment in advance.

Dude the store is soo weird, had my girlfriend call and they gave us piece meal directions, like go to this station, take this bus,

but at every spot they made us call to get the next direction.
