I also have interest in plastic pants, but really don't know where to start. What I am looking for would be something to maximize discretion. I would want something to reduce the amount of noise the diaper makes, as well as reduce any smell as much as possible. The next priority after that would be leak protection.
One fantasy I have is to go outside during the winter and be diapered under my snowsuit, and then while outside exploring/playing/etc in the snow, wet/mess my diaper. Wetting wouldn't be problematic at all, and wearing a diaper under a snowsuit would totally mask the noise, but messing would present a problem I think, since the smell would permeate into the snowsuit. I don't think I would be able to explain that away. Plus, how would I get from the door to somewhere I could get cleaned up without leaving a trail of smell behind me? I am hoping that the right kind of plastic pants would help with this.
Another thing I would want is just general leak protection. I always try to get as much possible out of my diapers, because I am pretty frugal with my spending. As a result, I don't like to play it safe as far as how much I can wet my diapers. On the other hand, I absolutely HATE leaking. So much so that it often makes wetting much less enjoyable because I get all paranoid about what direction things are pointing down there, how wet what regions of the diaper are, how fast I can go, etc. I end up changing positions and what direction things point to try to minimize the chance that I leak, and it takes a lot of the enjoyment out of it for me since one big thing for me is just casually using a diaper without having to think about it.
Anyway, tldr: can someone who knows what they are talking about write up a plastic pants/diaper cover 101 thing please?
