I feel pedophilia and infantilism are quite distinct. Pedophilia is fundamentally an attraction to certain aesthetic qualities which happen to be common among children and rare among adults. To me, "cute" and "sexy" are pretty much equivalent in meaning.

Infantilism, or at least my version of it, falls more into the BDSM category of fetishes. It's all about creating the contrast between the dominant carer and the helpless child.

I would say my pedophilia is strictly one-way. I am attracted to little girls, and I couldn't be attracted to some old granny even if I was a little girl myself. At most I'd be attracted to the situation in general.

My infantilism goes both ways, however. When I feel submissive I want to be treated like an infant, but when I feel dominant I want to treat a little girl like an infant. For one thing, I'm attracted to women. Adult women. Fully developed boobs and butts get me off. I'm attracted to seeing women wear diapers and act like babies.

I'm also aroused by the idea of wearing diapers and being treated like a baby myself. But most of those fantasies revolve around receiving love and affection from a maternal figure.

And if you want to go with another psychology theory and say that the reason I'm into all this stuff is because I lacked affection or care from my parents at a young age, that doesn't really seem right either. I had a very normal childhood and both my parents were around and showed love and affection.

Quite frankly, I think that for me at least, I was just born this way. There are psychologists who think that there's a biological explanation for fetishism, since there were monkeys who received damage to the cerebellum and started trying to fuck inanimate objects.

My earliest memory is of me as a toddler, walking around my parents kitchen and just enjoying the sensation of being in a diaper. These thoughts have been with me all my life, and they didn't turn sexual until I hit puberty.

It does seem like a stretch that one would misplace their attraction for children onto childlike objects especially when that individual craves an adult figure with adult body parts.
