To me, Marge was always the epitome of everything wrong with mothers, the personification of the negative aspects of mothers that kids had no choice but to endure, the most annoying and insufferable aspects that makes kids more distant from their moms than anything.

Marge was always meant to be a satirical symbol of motherhood, not a genuine representation of it.

Kohaku from Tsukihime pretty much screams AB/DL mommy, what with how much she likes to tease and treat people like children. Carnival Phantasm even outright had an episode where she made her master Akiha regress mentally.
