Shizune's route is the Misha route.
Every route was about discovering the beautiful side of the girl past her initially off-putting nature (extreme shyness of Hanako, uptightness of Lily, whatdoyouevencallit of Rin, energy output that could power a small town of Emi).
With Shizune you don't get anything past the initial barrier. She stays as manipulative as she has always been. She stays as distant and shady as ever.
However, then there is Misha. She is initially very slow and likes to burst out thoughts before thinking. Yet, as you get to know her better you can see past that at a sad girl who was only being so loud because she doesn't have any friends other than deaf Shizune. So when anyone tries to talk to her, she will go into overload mode and try to grab and hold their attention.
She is lonely, and the only way to approach her is by being around Shizune all the time, because Misha must stay close to her in order to translate. Anyone who wants to get to Misha must go through Shizune, who is naturally disgusting and will scare most people away. It's like she is a piece of cotton candy, but there is a spider sitting on top of it.
Shizune is Misha's handicap.

Asking the QM if you could keep your helmet cover and paying the replacement cost (it's a helmet cover, $20 at most) would be an option. Just write that yours got cut by razor wire, or got worn out over time on the paperwork. Remember that these are also fags you may see on a daily basis, you talk to them regularly and as long as they aren't total fags they can take a look at your cover and see why you would want to keep it.
Helmets are another story, but you can also buy surp helmets relatively cheap.
