Oh great! has to be the most overrated trash author. Most of the pages he draws are just weird angles and mishmash of perspectives and disrupted panel flow that accompanies a disjointed confusing story that goes in the past, the future and then back to the present.

I could never get into Air Gear, even though they said it was a better work of his than Tenjho, though I didn't reach the part where they were getting their snazzy regalia upgrades or whatever they were called. Mushroom Loli and Beanie guy were cool. Shark shota would be quite popular nowadays if it aired today, maybe.

I hate to imply Sora no Woto was bad or mediocre because there's a lot in it I really like but I can't bring myself to rewatch it in full. Despite being only 12 episodes it still feels like there's more filler than there should be, I get that the slow-pacing punctuated with moments of action was entirely the feeling the show was going for, and it works on the first viewing but after that it becomes tedious. It also has the problem of being rather forgettable in the sense that whenever I talk to people about series I really like I never remember to mention it, I literally forget I watched it until I want to listen to the OST which has some really nice mandolin work on it.

This series never gets mentioned by anybody and I feel almost sorry for calling it "mediocre". It certainly it had a few interesting concepts. It's rare enough to see Not-/WW1 but I can think of hardly any series in such a post-war setting.
