That logic is only halfway sound. Just because someone manages to make exactly what they wanted to make doesn't mean it's automatically worthwhile or good, the authors might very well be retards with shit taste, too.
Also as someone who does pick up a whole lot of shows every season, there are a good number which really don't have any merit, because they are so by the books, so generic, that even the mistakes that occur are all things I've seen several times over.
And last and least, there is more anime and related content out there than what you can possibly consume in your life, you should probably spend the time on things you enjoy, instead of on "learning experience" bad anime.
