The whole story seems to be based on them making one song or at most two. The opening sequence mentioned some 7 minute miracle which is 2 songs. The fact that they showed improvised playing this week means we will be drip fed bits and pieces of their songs until the last episode.

Don't get too excited, they're worn by a bitch. I'm guessing she's going to be the soulless music industry puppet sort of character (judging by the fact she became a soulless music industry puppet working for a chink who produces AI-composed music in the first episode), and Wednesday and Shayquanda are going to have to teach about the value of real music.

I think faggots are overreacting. Like >>921271 says, this season is actually pleasingly more of the same shit that we love and have come to expect, which is more than I anticipated as the fucking Olympics draw closer. Westaboo shit is nothing new and it shouldn't come as a sign of the end times to anyone who isn't a newfag/crossboarder. And even if it were some kind of deliberate subversion attempt by *insert boogeyman here*, what you'll find is that media isn't where the corruption starts, it can only propagate it at worst. This show isn't going to be the glorious diversity messiah that the tumblrtards are undoubtedly making it out to be that will make every Japanese person chop their junk off and start importing sub-Saharan africans to breed with by the shiploads. It's when they've already started doing that for real world reasons that people actually take seriously, like political or economic pressure, that it will begin to be reflected in media. Saying that Japan is pozzed just because one show happens to have niggers in it is like soccer moms saying videogames turn kids into psychopaths because Postal exists.
Our friends from /pol/ need to lurk more and stop kneejerking. Tumblrtards would benefit from it too but I don't expect that out of them and we don't get many here anyway, thankfully.

No one's going to get banned up above for rule 8 or 9, but this is going into full rule 9 territory. Anons need to take a deep breath over Watanabe being a westaboo/putting niggers in his anime and take it easy. Let's clean up the thread and start over keeping rule 9 in mind, yes? This is the second time I've had to use the meido tripcode in a weekend. I shouldn't have to use it more than once every few months.

The only real reason to dislike this is right here. None of the characters shown so far have been likable, and you can already see where the plot is going and it's generic and bland. The setting seems pretty cool, but it probably won't get much more attention than we're seeing in the first episode. The first episode was just plain weak. Watanabe has done great work in the past, but this one seems to be a miss.
No.921311

I don't like the setting, it feels like there was barely an thought put into it. The city is a generifc sci-fi city, but the city center is build on an articial lake. And the hologram cars clash badly with the suburbs which look like your average 21th century European suburbs. All of the tech was really gimmicky, and I am gonna throw up if I see another weird hologram screen.
>Watanabe has done great work in the past, but this one seems to be a miss.
Never liked his work, even Bepop was a disappointment after all the praise I heard about it.

Its set on terraformed Mars which is essentially a blank check to make up whatever you want knowing it doesn't have to make an ounce of sense. Expect to see more stupid holograms with random patterns that fit the directors aesthetic sense.

I know, one of my biggest issues is that something similar is even possible with current technology, despite that they go with holograms.
OLEDs can be folded and there have already been very futuristic OLED displays (column shaped). And based on the current tech state Nippon is going to start dominating the OLED market from 2020-2022 onwards. Panasonic recently even showed off a see-through OLED.
Sage, since it's off-topic.

The westaboo is pouring out of this show. I never thought anyone would name those boots by their brand name. There was a Brooklyn Bridge look a like and some DJ guy with the flames and concert. Is that kind of electronica? pop? whatever it is music popular these days in the west? The director must love NYC. Now that we heard a sample of the full song its actually pretty good. I think the AI music creator guy is going to steal the show as best girl.

I am really enjoying it. It is the fun little adventures of two girls trying to make their way in the music industry in a light, futuristic, sci-fi setting. I can definitely see people getting turned off by the mere presence of the more diverse elements (black people, lesbians and dyed hair) but its not like its promoting it or anything so it doesn't really bother me. I understand its just the fascination of a westaboo who doesn't understand the awful reality of what such progressive things are actually like in the West.

The American Idol ripoff hurts but at least it forcibly advances the story and builds the characters. Somehow we learned more about our main characters in this episode than in any of the previous ones. I lost it when they did the handshake thing.

And now theyre at the American idol semifinal with the main AI girl already scared of them. Its going too well but with so few episodes left theres no time to tell the story any better. Everything is relying on the field fillers being funny, which they are reasonably competent at, until the final.

I thought that was hilarious. I actually think this whole American Idol arc has been great so far. All the weird contestants and now the Latin rapping fake gangster. Its a lot of light hearted fun which suits the sci-fi lite setting really well. Been having a blast each week with this show.
