Will Smiley ever return to /a/?
No.920108
I do hope so, but his last post on his blog was on January the 31st of 2018, so I fear he might have been institutionalized/killed. He hasn't answered my emails either.

As long as you can dream of Angels, Smiley will always be with you.

Funny, I also sent him an e-mail sometime before Christmas wondering if he could turn Hana into a goddess.

Luckily I got mine done during his last thread here on /a/. Hopefully he comes back and starts doing requests again, this board NEEDS more of his art.

Man, I've been dying to see his real life Miku's ultimate form ever since he posted those photos of the incomplete model. That thing was next level.
I don't have the pictures/webms on me but remember the empty room with little teddy bears on the floor where she was kept? How her insides actually had bones and flesh?
Smiley took waifuism to unexplored territories, moreso than even Shinobufag's virtual wedding.

She actually came to life and killed Smiley. Now she's wearing his face. Remember friends, this is why you don't try to bring your waifu to the real world.

This is LIE! They are both alive and well, and Miku has her own face that is very clearly not smiley's!

There are dangers to trying to animate lifeless forms, Smiley is a grim reminder to us all.
RIP Smiley 2018, murdered in his own home by the golem he gave life to.

>You will never create a golemn of your waifu made out of hockey tape, common household items and body parts from a corpse
Looking back, if I were to embark on such an endeavor, I think it would have been much easier to acquire a mannequin and paper mache the head into the perfect 2D shape, or something.
No.920140

But I guess you don't get that life-like joint movement without a real skeleton as your base model.
No.920141

You don't get a life-like corpse smell either. I wonder what Smiley did about that?
No.920143
I was and still am disturbed by this sort of thing. I don't think 2D is compatible with the textural realism of 3D. You get an uncanny valley effect. There's an artist who draws my waifu who is so skilled, some of the pictures really do look like she just came out of her dimension into real life; they're really off-putting. If you were to look at how he progressed as an artist, it looks like a bell curve. At some point he realized how strange and other worldly it looked, and toned down the realism.

It's important for anons to always remember the 2D/3D barrier. Even when not on /a/. Especially when not on /a/.
No.920155

Every single fucking time I wake up in the morning/afternoon/whenever I am reminded of this accursed barrier.
And then I remember Oyaji. Become the umbrella for you're waifu and carry that weight, lest she be tainted by 3DPD, anon.

The images look like a couple of ayys who put on wigs and contact lenses.

I still want to know what was up with all those dolls on the ground, and how she is managing to sit up straight on that back-less stool. Anyone have the pictures showing the insides of Miku? Or any other of his pictures, I foolishly haven't saved everything yet.

There is a real human spine inside her.

The closest I've seen was the picture before he finished the hands where there was a bunch of blood coming out of the arms, so at least it's got blood in there. I think that's the only miku I saw that I forgot to save.

I have It saved on my HDD. Once I get home I'll upload it.

Same here. I thought "Look at these Angels" was all just a funny troll and we all played along.
But we're not laughing anymore. Maybe one day I can ask him to make Haruhi into an angel.

His blog links to an Instagram page and the last post there was May 3rd 2018. *Although we can't be sure that wasn't Miku herself posting*

To be perfectly honest, I still believe that Smiley is an act. The broken english and misspelling seem too deliberate.

But why? If he just to make an "epic troll" he could've gone to 4chan or reddit and get much more exposure.
