I still re-read Elfen Lied from time to time, but just the parts with Bandou.

Regardless of the rest of the manga, that character is still GAR as fuck and I will never not enjoy his segments.

Kinda funny how the "final boss" in the elfen lied anime, doesn't show up in the manga. I remember the first hellsing anime doing a similar thing. (Throwing in some final BBEG sure beats noending, though).

What?

The final boss in the anime shows up in the manga and gets fucking demolished by Bandou, the vengeful cyborg ex-SAT soldier who was mostly incompetent in the anime.

She's the girl in the first two images of OP, getting combo'd with a rocket launcher.

Also another fun difference, the Professor doesn't die like in the anime after his daughter (final boss girl) dies, he tries to kill himself but Bandou (again) saves his life and he becomes an insane hobo living with Bandou on Yuigahama beach until Bandou's seemingly killed in a no hold barred rematch with Lucy.

Although I usually stop reading at that point, later in the manga they even clone the anime final boss multiple times to make a weird fucking horned girl hit squad thing.
