Honestly, how? I can't for the life of me watch it, and its not because of the animation style. The humor gives me similar pains of borderlands tier "lol randumb" humor, and the entire show smells of a corporation trying to just cash in on a trend and then forget it.

She's one of the few characters that makes me think long and hard about her, she's simply mesmerizing, and doesn't help that her videos are a bit out-there. I also asked a Japanese guy for a commission of her, loved the end result.

I'm inclined to agree, and the end result is rather cringey because it features the internet mixing with real life; and that's never a good mix. Webm of the op for anyone with morbid curiosity.

Rufina, came across him while searching for elona vids. On average get about 5 to 10 views per video.

Is there a maou vtuber yet? If I ever become fluent in Japanese and lose my dignity along the way that's what I'd do. An unapologetically evil and arrogant character who speaks down to his audience all while glossing over the fact that he's making videos for them to enjoy and somehow twisting everything he does into being part of a plot to conquer the world. I really love that sort of "likeable and charismatic but still blatantly evil" character.

I don't pay attention to this stuff, but I would be very surprised if there are none. Actually, doesn't the one that really set the trend off, Kizuna Ai, claim that she's doing her shilling videos in order to take over the world?

Not really evil, but I like how Kaguya Luna playfully insults the audience, like telling you on Christmas that you'll be spending it alone. She has mean quirks that are entertaining.

I cannot really tell with this one. I talked to her once during one of her livestreams and her avatar seemed to look down before responding. Other times however, the avatar seems to just be automated, like some kind of looped .GIF. I cannot tell if this one counts.

I enjoy it the same way I enjoy those streams and radio shows that seiyuus do to promote their anime, where they just do weird activities or play silly games.
Also its a sketch show, and not all the skits are created equal. Some are definitely funnier than others. Kerin Slayer and the main girls roundup are probably my favourite bits.

I don't think she planned on being so popular/was just doing it for fun, and now she's struggling with it all. I know her videos were roughly periodic until the guro doujins showed up about 7 months ago and she's only posted one video since. Not sure if there's any connection, but she is a kid, isn't she?
