What the fuck happened? The manga was wonderful but this anime is nothing like it. It barely looks the same and the voices are all wrong. The feeling is completely different, not to mention bad.

Is it because production had to be split between the Kujiki Unbalance scenes, with additional character and art design, or the game licenses? I was surprised to see actual Puyo Puyo and Guilty Gear, but then they scrap a lot of the Gundam references.

I just don't get it. What happened to this adaptation?

 No.915738

I thought the anime was pretty good after watching it recently. I watched up to Nidaime’s first episode and dropped it due to the original cast being sidelined and general pozz issues. I’m secondaryfag, though. Is the manga really that different?

What the fuck even happened with Nidaime? Did the author start banging a fujoshit or what?

 No.915748

>>915740

Hell if I know, I had noticed that fujoshit had been seeping in more and more but it was at a manageable level until Nidaime. After I saw the shitty all-female cast (keyword shitty) and the trap I bailed, hard.

 No.915752

Kujibiki Unbalance was the best part of the anime, and even that was better in the manga.

Someone has not read the sequel.

You are correct, but it doesn't change anything about the original manga.

Sometimes ignorance is bliss. It's better if OP never reads it and just fondly remembers the original.

I think that Genshiken is a great anime. One of the best ones out there.

What kills it for me is how Madarame is now the harem guy when this thing was supposed to be a little more in line with realism, he even gets the trap.

I just watched the anime last week and liked it. I'm going to pick up the manga, I'm curious to see how different it is.

I can't believe so many people liked the anime.

I'm noticing it's usually guys who haven't read the manga, though. The thing is just that the manga is probably the best example of what being a modern otaku is like. Well, at least it was back in the 2000's. The internet wasn't as big a deal back then.

>Nidaime

>deals with fujoshits

>quickly devoles into fujoshit things

>three girls and a guy all competing for Madarame

>third to last issue, Madarame calls bullshit on all of this

>asks why are they focusing on all this relationship shit

>and not on anime?

>ends up with the legal loli, his stated preference

I'm not going to read it again, but I'm ok with that ending.

I enjoyed all the seasons of Genshiken, even the "Second Season" anime, as well as all the manga. Plus, I still have both volumes of KujiUn and the anime dvds as well.

I don't think people liked the progression of the story, how characters changed over time, but hey, that's school life, people graduate and move on, even if Madarame still hangs out in the club room.

I didn't find any of the characters unlikable, even if the fujos took over, at least they kept the club going, and still put out Maebetame. Hell, I could even deal with Kuchiki, which got good in the S2 manga when he was getting ready to graduate and got shitfaced drunk. I even like Nyako, but for some reason, my fav character is still from S2, as I just have a thing for "Rika"s.

Yeah, my taste sucks.

If only that's how it ended. Instead we got him running out on his wife in labor to go screw the tranny.

Now I truly understand the feelings of those otaku who destroy their entire collections of a series when they find out the heroin isn't a virgin.

I'm sincerely disgusted by the entire genshiken series now.

Almost incensed to read it just so I can find out what ridiculous sequence of events could possibly set this up.

If you are going to do that why acknowledge the descent into fujoshit territory at all? Just end it after the first manga.

I liked Sue too. It's a good thing he did not end up with her in spotted flower, at least then she doesn't get cheated on while pregnant.

 No.920985

Have you read it? It swaps from general otaku stuff to full on fujoshit pandering, then in the sequel to that starts pandering to trannys.
