The set up sounded nice but the whole thing was so low quality it was sad. It's the usual character is moving his mouth up and down while VA is trying his best to deliver the lines as emotionally as possible thing. Some of the animation is beyond disgusitng, like the scene under the bridge (pic related) where they run an obvious CG car, and as if that wasn't enough, once that car is out the frame, they run the same CG car again. I had to pause and go back 5 seconds to check if they were shitting me.
Plot and pacing are not exactly a shining beacon of intellectualism either. I watched 18 minutes of flash backs, flash forwards, exposition talk just to have fattybro spell the plot out for me in one sentence. You could have started the anime from this scene and nothing would change. In fact it would be an improvement since I wouldn't have to watch 18 minutes of GILF fetish porn and drama "whoops I shitted" screaming.
You can't really make the premise boring, it appeals to the male fantasy. Everybody would be interested in how life would develop as dudes first time and older crush move in to live with him. Yet this first episode managed to dispel any sort of mystery in a meticulous fashion, even the basic questions like "I wonder how this girl will react" are answered two seconds after being asked, by the girl herself.
It's managed to write itself into this wonderful stagnation where the MC will have to act like an awkward fuck to get out of it, and by god he will. I haven't even begun on how I hate the characters. The MC is whiny and one of the few characters befitting of the title of beta, I'm surprised blue hair's pussy didn't dry up as soon as he started begging her not to fuck him and asking if she wants to keep her purity and maybe not have any sex ever and why me why are you touching there.
Not that she's any better, a case of endless resting bitch face and constant fuck off attitude doesn't exactly scream endearing or relatable. Tsundere types usually have a soft side, but her soft side is being a slut to random strangers because virginity is icky. Now that you got your hymen torn you sure are going to find relatable topics with your normalfag besties. But she doesn't want to talk about who she got boned by, and she can't really mention that she got fucked by a stranger because she wanted to bond with her friends. He goes from Rui to Hina pretty fast, then stays there until the school principal discovers their affair. Hina moves to an island down south to be a teacher there, while MC sulks.
Then, after meeting and misunderstading, MC thinks Hina doesn't want anything with him anymore, and Rui, who all this time has been developing feelings for MC, get together with him.
All the while MC graduates, goes to Uni and a new girl starts to lurk for him.
We have an arc of her chasing after him, along with him experimenting with a paly and going under the wing of an author so that he could improve his writing.
He goes to brothels to learn about the lives of the girls there and such as well.
His relationship with Rui was super stable, but then she decides to go to the USA for a year to study cooking.
Then, some misunderstandings happen and she arrives at the conclusion that they're harming each other, they're constraining each other, due to insecurity and maybe jealousy. The last straw was MC not telling her that he couldn't write anymore due to the fact that he didn't want her to get worried overseas (insecurity). She did that reluctantly.
In this timespan, Hina gets to love him all over again, but so far she didn't betray her sister and restrained herself.
After that MC gets very depressed and meets some junkie girl with problems that starts living with him. Things happen and they're now in a huge pinch with criminals.
