No.896253
It's a 26 minute show with 3 minutes being show, and 23 minutes being real life interviews.
Apparently, there is a new director for every episode.

I liked it. I always like seeing shows done by multiple directors. 18if was great last year. Also, women are inherently batshit crazy, so its interesting to gain insight into their psyche.

I guess. 3 minutes of animation and 20 minutes discussing it. Maybe not interesting to the casual viewer but good for those wanting know the behind the scenes of animation. It's not for everyone. I surprised there have been as many American references in the show so far with the term New Yorker, and One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest, Andy Warhol and Pop art.

I have just started watching the short and ignoring the interviews. Normally I would be interested in the behind the scene stuff, but a full on 20 minute interview for a 3 minute short is a little excessive.

It's animation wank. I assume the idea of getting multiple directors to each do an episode came first, but coming up with something original to do that way is too hard so why not pick some 3DPD whore's autobiographical manga to animate 3 minutes of at a time? It's the kind of subject matter that feels appropriately artsy for animation wank.

All of our art that puts so much time and effort into being hideous comes from marxist brainwashing courses, so it's a very obvious question to ask if that's where Japan's is coming from.

I think this was the best episode or Rinshi Ekoda-chan yet. I didn't make this comparison before but it reminded of what cartoons used to do with Liquid Television and Oh Yeah! Cartoons. Doing something different from what is currently out now. A block of weirdly different stories and styles being showcased to promote up-and-coming artist. We used to have that back then with the cartoons I mentioned and its sad that we don't see this kind of stuff anymore.
Of course, invidivuals could release their own shorts on their own time but it doesn't have the same constraints or budgets that being backed by a company would have. I kind of wish we had more stuff like this out now. Something experimental, different or pushing the medium released yearly would be wonderful. I know they have that government sponsored one but that is for teaching rookies supervised by pros instead of showcasing what the pro's can do and/or bring to the table. Also, a good platform to promote new artist and studios as well. I think this is a good idea as well as a good marketing strategy, but since they haven't made such things for a while, I'm guessing the major companies wouldn't back it.

Most people claiming to like that last episide are just being pretentious faggots. It was, as others have said, ugly, but also just plain bad. A stupid nonsensical musical piece that sounded as awful as it looked. There has been some great, creative stuff from this series, but THAT was garbage.
