For anyone else learning Nip do yourself a favor and get the manga, at least the volumes that continue from where the anime left off (4-6). It's great to see them continue as rank 9 Urara and further, and their new pal Omi fits in very nicely. There's a lot of hard kanji/vocabulary throughout, though.

I remember people saying when it aired that it was a difficult read as far as manga go.
The translation is right around the end of the anime now. It was getting released on-and-off for a while, but over the past month or so it really sped up. Now that group has passed it over to Kirara Scantasia though, and while they have noble intentions, they seem to have overextended themselves and have a pretty slow release schedule.

All you've really shown is that most episodes had a cool premise, ie, the first couple minutes was interesting and drew you in, only to end in nothing with the girls safe and sound back home. And this is basically my problem with the series. Each episode starts with a cool idea, or has a cool premise, or even seems to be advancing the plot, and then it just gets dropped and goes nowhere.
Once you drop any of the cool ideas like fortune telling or action/adventure, you just get a CGDCT anime, which is all this is in the end. Are the girls cute? Yes. Is the art good? Yes. Is the show worth watching but not very memorable? Yes. I enjoyed it, but I'm not going to say it was all that good. Even if S2 was announced I wouldn't be all that excited because I know they'll probably just repeat the same shit and I have too many generic CGDCT anime in my backlog to throw this at the front of the list.
