What the fuck has been going on with Eureka Seven for the past 10 years? I only watched the original series a long time ago, but I know they've had several shows and movies and heard that every single one of them has been a disservice to the original show, I've heard things varying from.

Dewey was completely correct about the scrub coral, rendering the whole ending of the original series meaningless. Movies that half half the run time taken from reused scenes from the original show. The series that completely retconned the original show out of existence. Dominic being an AI in one of the newer movies and everything being Anemone's dream?

It's the only show I can think of where I've heard that literally every work that comes after it is awful.

Has it really gotten that bad?

I'd like a basic summary of what's happened plot wise with all the movies and series that have come out since the original. I have no idea of the order of things besides there was a movie after the show that was bad,and the AO series was bad as well. I'm curious as to what has been going on, but all I've heard besides bits and pieces it to avoid them.

That and I want to know if they are really that bad or if there is any worth watching.

I got through the first few cours quick then I started to lose interest maybe mid 3rd cour. AKA when the plot starts to kick in and it loses some of the aimlessly wandering mecha surfing charm (plus Eureka's shitty haircut and the worst OP of the show). I think you could cut out more than a handful to less than a dozen episodes from the series and have a cleaner overall package.

Its not a plot thing, I could deal with that. It's that the filler is just so hard to watch.

15 minutes of "Renton is an awkward kid but he'll be the next hokage, believe it! [Hazing Intensifies]" and 5 minutes of plot progression.
