I actually liked the first dream episode, but I got annoyed when they kept doing it. I still haven't finished it.

I'm almost done, kinda took a break after the last peter pan episode. Hopefully the ending stays away from that shit because it just doesn't seem to fit with the show at all.

I mean I guess it kinda helps flesh out the characters a bit, seeing as there's not much dialogue that can happen when they're diving. But still, it just seems really out of place. And Teko still has a lot of work to do to get her licenses in order and more practice to be able to keep up with everyone. I get that this season takes place in winter, so I can excuse less diving (although they already showed them all diving in drysuits in the first couple episodes, so that's a weak excuse...) but they could also be training on land or at least talking about it more.

I feel like they're trying to push some yuri shit between teko and pikari too. It was hinted at (in a joking way) a little in the first season but it seems way more forced and awkward in this season. As much as I like some cute yuri moments here and there, this is a little excessive and doesn't seem to fit the tone of the show or either character.

And yes, that's part of the reason the series' popularity plummeted. Especially when he takes on serious romance with Pikari, and Teko says "oh hell, I'll just step aside, I can't love her the way YOU can" in the manga.

It was a terrible sequel and did almost everything wrong. There were a few good episodes, mostly the ones without the faggot shota and without dreams. I think near the end there were 1-2 more about featuring some diving, then Teko gets her license, and that's it.

when they introduced him I figured it was a boy. But none of the other characters seemed to notice or talk about it. But the whole romance subplot thing is a drag, it's not a comfy diving SoL show with all that extra baggage added in.

Does the redhead's younger brother ever do anything? He's always just kind tagging along with his sister which is weird, even though none of the characters seem to talk to him or even care that he's around. Does he not have his own friends to hang out with? If they were going to push some romance stuff it would've made some sense to have him going after Teko or Pikari.

is there a time-skip or does the anime just play out differently than the manga? In the anime the trap-kid looks way younger, which is kinda why I could understand Pikari/everyone confusing him for a girl. Does he at least get into diving?

I don't really care either way, really I never thought of Teko and Pikari like a couple and I doubt they'd work out together. Teko always just seemed to want to make a new friend and genuinely liked diving, there's no reason to throw any homolust in the mix.

yeah I just finished the anime about an hour ago. My biggest question is why the hell Kokoro lets Pikari and Teko call him -chan. Even after they find out he's a boy, and especially since he's so weird about wanting to be a "manly man", why the hell does he put up with -chan? He doesn't even really like Teko all that much, so wouldn't he insist at some point that she call him -san or just drop the honorific altogether?

And then you have that Kotori girl who seems totally enamoured with Teko. Kotori is also around Teko's age (only a year or two younger, goes to the same school, and seems somewhat into diving. Honestly Teko's romantic prospects seem way brighter than Pikari's, if she swings that way which seems to be in the air so far.

maybe she has a shota fetish or something. It's just awkward because the kid is like 11 or 12 and Pikari is 15/16. Not a huge age gap, but noticeable. It just makes Pikari look like a pedo or at least incredibly immature to be into him. And yeah, the series didn't need romance at all, just fucking diving.
