It's pretty average shounenshit. Literally goes into power levels, training arcs, MC secretly having the most power ever, and baddies showing up who are more powerful than the last baddie who took a whole arc to beat. Also netflix didn't make shit. They just slapped their name on it because it's exclusively on their platform.

This final battle is taking really long and I know it's not even close to finishing because there is still 3 out of the 7 deadly sins they haven't done their about 50pg origin stories for yet: Escanor, Merlin & Meliodas. Maybe a 4th since I think the author mentioned Diane's wasn't finish somewhere and the story was the weakest and less tragic of the 4 already presented before. I think it still has about 2 years on it still and it's really dragging out.

I guess I should have written "interesting".

Some of the things happening are along the line of "What? Since when? That doesn't make sense!"

This is the only thing making me consider getting into the series at this point.

The problem with this series is that the author tried to pull an "if everyone is overpowered, no one is", but then hit the power ceiling so hard he can neither dial it back nor have anyone outdo it.

How in the world are you supposed to beat someone with essentially god mode he can turn on by standing on sunlight, but can also produce sunlight himself? How about the witch with LITERAL INFINITE MAGIC? Or the walking nuke that's also Wobuffet and can just throw anything back at you?

The part that really sold Escanor to me was when he revealed his ultimate attack was a barehanded chop named after himself.

Truly the best representation of overwhelming pride I've seen in anime yet.

How good is it after demons returned? I decided to postone reading after 1st arc ended.

No one fucking stays dead. The lowest grunts are nearly as strong as 1st arc's big bad but people seem to manage slightly better.

Diane is still useless.

Elizabeth is still useless (unless the plot demands bullshit magic which.... doesn't happen.)

Merlin is still just a plot device

I still don't even know how the author could botch a character like Arthur as hard as he did. Dozens of chapters of build up only to have him fight two of the big bads and then instantly lose and accomplish NOTHING. I'm so fucking sick of the dragged out bullshit with Cusack and Chandler. The fact that they were too strong for everybody, only to get curbstomped by Merlin, only to asspull a fusion dance is just infuriating. It's not interesting. It's not exciting. It's not remotely entertaining. It's tedious and insulting to get treated to this same bullshit ad infinitum for every fucking chapter.
