Can we have a thread about the doge anime gem, /a/? It struck right as the dog memes were piling in and seemed to be relatively popular/have good ratings, but proceeded to fade into obscurity. You can't even find a proper seed of it any more even though the entire season is less than 5GB. I just don't understand how 3D rendered models of idols doing improve became immortalized while this well-crafted anime about a dog's insights into the world fell into such obscurity. It's CG bullshit, yes, but it manages to capture it in a way that while looking artificial with its sharp edges, feels "right" as if that's ok and how it should be.
I wish anons could enjoy this classic with me once more. I feel like we missed out on discussing the inter-relations of characters that had a much more mature underlying theme attached to the much lighter kid's show that was displayed through Muco. This show really does capture numerous artistic and storytelling details that I feel many shows throw out in favor of shoving the dark realities down your throat. You have various darker/adult undertones when you actually pay attention and look for them, but you will never notice them while paying attention through the eyes of Muco unless you specifically search for them. It's a masterpiece in its surface simplicity.
