I had a bit of faith when the first two episodes aired. Seemed like the quality of the animation and script had improved again. But no, we're back to godawful levels of QUALITY again, and an absolutely rushed out the ass script. Expect this to be absolutely, irredeemably, god fucking awful all the way to the end. The first season is one of the worst anime I've ever seen and this is shaping up to be exactly the same.

Season 2 feels better than season 1 in that they are trying to be more directorial with different angles. From what I remember from season 1, it was a lot of static or mid-range shots and the terrible 3D audience for the court scenes. I would prefer more anime-original cases like the last one. As much as it fizzled out by the end, it was an interesting attempt and the team has good ideas. I'm not a big fan of "abridged" adaptations. If the work can't stand on its own, then that demands a change of plans. Not to mention the game's cases do not lend themselves well for TV anime formats. I do hope we get an adaptation of Rise from the Ashes, though.
