It was.. bland. The seiyuu questioning was more interesting than the show itself. They should make a show about that if they already haven't done it before.
To Be Hero is still the best thing to come out of China. To Be Heroine was an alright sequel. The first half was very bog down by switching to this alt world and not spending enough time on it and giving too much time on the real world. Second half was much smoother pacing wise since they only focused on the real world. The animation for it was pretty good. The King's Avatar was also good, even if it did have some goofy moments since it is a story about a pro gamer ousted out of his own e-sport mmorpg group and just enjoying the game.
Compared to other china cartoon's I've seen, Frankenstein Family is one of the better ones. A lot of tencent cartoons first seasons are usually terrible but they do make some or small improvements in the second season that do make them better that makes it hard to believe the first and second season were even done by the same company. The worst Chinese cartoon I've seen recently was called Jian Wang Chao- Sword Dynasty. It went through 2 translators before it was dropped at 10 episodes with only 2 left for the season. It was disjointed in pacing that it was hard to tell what even the story was about. Episodes didn't seem like they connected with each other. If there was an example of bad Chinese cartoons that people assumed were the norm, Sword Dynasty would be a good example to use.

Japanese language is mostly vowel based when spoken. Even in most words with a lot of consonants, the main emphasis is usually on the vowels inbetween. If you start out "not liking Japanese" it's because it is different than the language you are used to. There are words that are single-syllable or only a couple syllables, but it flows well.
Chinese actually grates on the ears. It utilizes intonation and pitch in the determination of what word you're saying, and more specifically it focuses on the first consonant in a word/is typically made up of as few syllables as possible to form a word. Bugman language is more efficient than Japanese in this sense, but it is also disgusting to listen to. This is also why people refer to Chinese as being "a bunch of noisy birds" and why so many Chinese jokes focus on the sounds that animals make. Chinese is shrill, whiny, and repetitive to listen to. Chinese can sound pleasant if spoken slowly, carefully, and deliberately, but bugmen intentionally talk 90 miles an hour as part of their culture and to intentionally fuck with foreigners. I think they picked the hobby up from Indians.
