The movie came out a while ago and the BDs just recently. Let's have a thread.

I really liked it. Most was just fun hijinks and the plot and themes was everything S2 should have been instead of focusing on Pink girl so much. It made S2 worth it, which is a running theme with KyoAni. They make great films that often outshine the series.

Well, it's finally over. It's been almost 6 years. Was it worth it? Haruhi S3 When?

I thought it was kind of eh, it's more like a very long OVA than a movie. It did bring a more satisfying closure for the story though even if the climax felt pretty awkward. I somehow got the feeling that they did the movie just to shut up people who wanted more, rather than because they wanted to make it.

Much less funny chuuni shenanigans, it felt more grounded/realistic than the tv series which was mostly good I think.

It was just as boring and soapy as Ren was, KyoAni coming out as FujoAni really ruined this franchise.

There was exactly one good butt shot to watch, and that's about it for what the movie was worth.
