Slow and dull start but gets better about 50 chapters in. At 70 chapter the main female character receives development thats on par with that of an MC which is fairly rare for shonen. The most recent has had a seemingly original plot, I've read no other series where half the protagonists get possessed and have a large country wide war.

The things this series does well is have a fast pace, developing a female supporting character, and it handles common tropes well. This series is riddled with tropes but it tries not to force them into the foreground of the story which often gets annoying. Overall this series really surprises people who read it

When will Clover get the respect it deserves? On toonami it got higher ratings when it was in the prime time slot than anything else this year, other than dragonball. And MHA took a clear sharp dive recently so maybe we will see a schedule change soon. Not that I really care too much about toonami but if BC gets more popular there it would lead to more much needed fanart
