Hakumei did nothing wrong! She a good girl!
So a new episode of Hakumei to Mikochi was released. I feel like I've seen these two characters but I can't remember. I hope we get a second season of comfy drinking and good food. First part of the episode was a nice meeting between our drunkard hair stylist and our hard-working Iwashi-san. I'm not a big fan of Iwashi's new hairstyle, but he seems to like it and Jada put a lot of effort into it in appreciation for his efforts.
I really liked this episode; the rustic atmosphere, the the hijinks and how Mikochi just does her best to set things right, the simple living/comfy theme, and especially the comfy food and drinking that makes this series so great. It was nice to be reminded of this gem again. I appreciate how this show is able to show cute inchlings getting drunk in a way that doesn't turn into over-the-top hijinks or negative images, it feels like the kind of comfy sleepover /a/ would have between us cute little girls, enjoying a night of gambling and high-stakes sake drinking fun games.
Something about that shot of Mikochi really got to me at the end, it was such a simple yet beautiful scene of our cute and industrious inchling friend. In any case, have you watched the new episode, anon? Have you finished the series? I was inebriated through most of my binge of this show near the end of its season on fly amanitas on products of the forest while searching for inchlings, but this is definitely a good series.
