The "evil lords" weren't players as far as we know (probably custom NPCs gone rogue), two of the 13th heroes were definitely players though (but not full end gear lvl100 autismo like Ainz and those before him) an assassin and the dark knight.

The most important among them were the Demon Lord (platinium dragon killed it), the Vampire Lord (the 13th heroes killed it), the Treant Lord (Ainz and cie killed it), the Insect Lord (the 13th heroes killed it), etc...

They could be "evil" players, but we know that's probably not the case since one of them was definitely not from the game.

At the very least if they were players, they were weak (since the "high angel" that barely grazed Ainz and which he one shot was something they would have a hard time against).

Also we know that there is quite a bit of unreliable narration going on, legends as told by some chars aren't what happened, the 13th heroes weren't 13th, the Vampire Lord is actually one of the surviving heroes, etc...

As such I'm not certain some of the 8 greed kings and some of 6 gods weren't the same people.

If I remember right, the guardians range from high 70s to 90s. They wanted to make them all max level, but there was a level limit. Ainz is higher level than Shalltear for instance, but because he's an RP build, Shalltear is stronger as a minmaxed build.

Similarly the pleiades are all in their 30-late 40 range if I remember right.

All the guardians have PC equipment as well, but if I recall correctly they're all PC builds, not special NPCs with NPC stats. Ainz is probably closer to equal with a level 80 despite being max level. In the LN he leveled up as an RP build to be flashy but functional, which allowed him to acquire special PK techniques by taking a hidden RP-build that no one really knew about since they all went for functional builds (thus putting him back on par with the others). His ability to not lose a second time were fueled by his own skill/information gathering. He's a skeleton Shiroe.

The problem with getting through Nazarick is that not only were the floor Guardians designed well and well-equipped, and the game was a broken pay-to-play system, but the actual dungeon design itself was deadly, and each floor had it's own set of traps and gimmicks while fighting the floor guardians and their entourage. The rooms are dangerous to enemies and capitalize on the floor guardian's strengths.

In addition, I think we can assume that most raids did not have many max level players of at least players who have max tier level armor and weapons(which makes sense as a pay-to-play, the whales have the best stuff, which is why Ainz Ooal Gown had the requirement of a job).

It took 1500 players along with bought mercenary NPCs to reach the 8th floor without making it all the way to the end.

Rubedo might even be outsides levels since she was crafted/created using world item(s).

They don't worship Ainz because of programming. That's what Ainz believe but, as usual, that's not actually the case.

That's why he's so great to them.
