That's probably just because Yume Nikki is a game.

It's highly unlikely that Kadokawa would publish a Yume Nikki sequel or remake under the Kadokawa brand.

Kadokawa owns Enterbrain (RPG Maker).

I find it highly likely that a new Yume Nikki game would be published under Enterbrain instead of under the Kadokawa main brand.

Kikiyama the developer of Yume Nikki is involved with the project, and it's about Yume Nikki.

There's already a LN and a manga, so it's either an anime or a new game.

Countdown finished, ended up being a Yume Nikki remake.

Releases 23 February.

The game was developed by Kadokawa's inhouse RPG Maker Team & Active Gaming Media.

The development was done directly under supervison from Kikiyama.

I suppose mods can close the thread, if they don't see Yume Nikki as /jp/ content.
