How many times have you seen a woman that took the initiative? Bonus points if the guy she goes after isn't a total faggot.

Does yandere count?

In that case you have an entire character genre as an example for your question.

In ef, the girl is super aggressive towards getting the (first) guy. Hell in the VN she basically says "this weekend you can either go see your childhood friend's big basketball moment or you can spend the day having sex with me".

I can only think of one case and it was questionable consent-wise.

 No.770583

Is this kind of character ever well received in japan? I really cannot think of anyone off hand and very strong female leads does not fit any of the usual character types which to some small degree are representative of society over there. Aside from yandere, forceful female characters I can imagine are seen as sluts or gag characters.

Does tomboy count? Sometimes those are romantically aggressive as a masculine trait side-effect.

Aren't most harem girls the aggressor?

They are the ones starting all romantic interaction, because the male MC is dense as a brick.

As a whole I would say it's quite common for female characters to lead the romance in manga & anime.

Still I wouldn't call them forceful.

She did out of self-interest but I guess it counts.

>Aren't most harem girls the aggressor?

Not really. They are trying to "appeal" to MC with the goal of him noticing them. The attempts to get his attention are just over the top. They all intend to have MC lead further romantic interactions.

 No.770598

>>770597

I disagree with this, they are the ones who often confess first, but MC misses it because his phone rings.

The beautiful girl drags MC into her world, is also a common trope in anime, even if it became more rare after the Isekai boom.

I don't think showing off her good points is enough make her forward. Everyone in im@s tries to show off to the producer and get him to do things with them but none of them will ever come out and confess. Confessing first in a clear non-ambiguous way fits the bill. Pushing his arm into your breasts or saying "I dont hate you" or "I wouldn't mind being married to you" are not clear and direct. Senjogahara and Nyaruko I think are good recent examples but they don't seem like what OP is interested in, which at looks more like sexual dominance than romantic assertion.

My post was more of an denunciation of

> forceful female characters I can imagine are seen as sluts or gag characters.

since most female anime characters are the aggressor in the realtionship even if they're not directly forward about it.

Straight forward confession are also not rare in harems, it's just that the MC will overhear them or something else will happen and he will miss the confession.

>what OP is interested in, which at looks more like sexual dominance than romantic assertion

True, OP seems to want girls that almost rape poor MC-kun. To get back to the original topic.

I think OP might like Fafi-chan from the oneshot Dorayome, she fits his description, even though the MC is a total faggot.

>miss the confession.

Which is frustrating but the premise of the harem story disappears when the harem becomes happy and stable. I would read a SoL manga about a stable harem where MC is married to a handful or so girls, reverse harem is fine too. Since monogamy is very popular it would be something different to read than pre/developing harem or married life manga.

Yes, characters like the pictures you posted are what I was referring to with

>forceful female characters I can imagine are seen as sluts or gag characters.

whereas in relation to confessing and romantic developments its a whole other topic.

>Yes, characters like the pictures you posted are what I was referring to with

I more or less tried to argue, that said archetype isn't seen as sluts.

And used the fact that even common female characters of different archetypes, are often romantically aggresive as an argument.

The extremly forceful archetype is also becoming more & more common, especially monster girls are often of said archetype.

They are definitely not seen as sluts & gag characters, which is the role of the gyaru archetype.
