>manga cancelled because the theme/tone is not popular in its native country
>native country is 'not directly related'
I'm going to assume you are just underage and don't know any better but this isn't a new thing. Sometimes there are even standouts like The Big O where it was extremely unpopular in Japan because it felt 'too western' for a japan struggling at the time with a upsurge in 'tribal shinuku culture' where they felt outside influence was corrupting the youth. So shows were given bad timeslots and sent out to die. In that case the west loved it and cartoon network commissioned a second season but thats rare.
I'm not shitting on you but to say 'muh 3DPD' just shows an ignorance of the relation between manga and shifts in japanese culture thats always been there.
A notable example is the "strange crime era" of the 1980's where a strange rise in serial killers, suicide bombers and random acts of inhuman cruelty and violence in Japan lead to an extreme shift in manga. Titles showed up like Fist of the North Star where it was a perfect alpha male who did not training or learning who simply walked through a wasteland where the bad guys won and brought justice to them. It lead to everything changing to suit these stories that resonated with the readers at the time who felt society was falling apart. Even Jojo part 1 was a response to this.
Manga has always, always been a reflection of japanese society at the time it was written. In the west many with little knowledge of the history of the medium assume it just means things like the current social justice pandering in marvel comics but its completely different. Its more like birds flying away before an earthquake. Its the little vibrations before some big event. Manga is just a canary in the coal mine of japanese culture at large. It says what the youth are thinking and what they want in a way no other media does.
