Has Kuroshitsuji/Black Butler got the best planning of any ongong manga?
>Manga about a nobles son in 1800's England whos family is kidnapped and killed by satanists
>Boy forms a packed with a demon to escape and get revenge, the demon takes the from of his Butler Sebastian.
>Fun slightly gothic murder mysteries with a shota lordling and his devil backup
>Years later its revealed he isn't who we have been told as the Earls son has shown up, his twin brother.
>Look it up online find sites like: http://theofficialdoublecieltheorist.blogspot.co.uk/?m=1 that have been predicting this for years
>Look back at old art
>Every flashback as a child has him in his room with two of everything including meals
>multiple scenes where another person is in the room covered by a speech bubble or something infront of the panels perspective
>scenes where the twins are on either side of their father and the panelling is so ingenious only by noticing a different hair parting and the curtains behind them between panels do you realise its ALWAYS been showing two children in flashbacks we assumed were the same person.
>New versions of these flashbacks in the latest volume show that it was in fact the main character we have been following hidden in these panels all along and this character we assumed was him in flashbacks was the mutilated sacrifice on the satanists altar in the very first chapter whos now some other form of evil entity after his own revenge for his identity being stolen.
Now secret twin is a tired ass trope so in a vacuum the story itself is kind of average. But to go back through every volume and see some mention to the character "not needing fake brothers" or being called a Liar by the devil butler when he calls himself Ciel all suddenly click and you realise you have been as oblivious as the MC for all these years and through excellent use of artwork and foreshadowing the creator has took you on a ride for years and until now you didn't even know what ride you were on.
I can't recommend the manga to everyone, but god damn is that an impressive man behind the curtain reveal. Is there anything thats come close to that in recent memory?
