To be honest, I got through about 5 volumes-after I had seen the anime, and had a bad feeling of deja vu. Then again, I dropped Triage X the manga 3 volumes in-and actually watched that series through to the end in the anime.

I question my own priorities.

Just marathoned this, Shiki and Another to try and drive away the pain from Mitty.

they didn't rush it but they were into hiatus for a year until she gave birth, the storyline was almost over by that point anyway, also yes the ending was awesome the reason the anime won't get a season 2 is because madhouse deleted a very important character and fused her with takami

Almost ten years ago or so, Fumikane was churning out assloads of new stories, Witches, ideas, he even visited other countries to get new ideas for more girls, like the Tuskegee crew. Then...nothing except for the movies, but the train lost a lot of steam, and Brave Witches was awful for many reasons. How could they fuck up a group of misfits or oddballs so bad?

I doubt it since the anime only got to Chapter 5, but you could probably finish the entire LN from start to finish in a trilogy with the first movie recapping the events of the anime unfortunately it'd probably be a Berserk-tier CG shitfest if it ever got a movie adaptation.

It "is" crap. It's obvious all these musical manga are anime/spinoff bait since you can't possibly give a shit about the bands/singers if they exist exclusively in manga form, since for example, you can't hear them, so you don't have any attachment to them. The manga also hyped the band's sound to hell and back and when the 'band's song' actually came out it was standard j-rock crap. The author also tried too hard to insert slice-of-life tier melodrama into the story, which only dragged it down further. Considering he is the Japanese equivalent to what would be hipsters in Murikkka, I'm not really surprised.

Its not presented in chronological order, so it starts with "the end," then it goes to "the beginning." I think its enjoyable and has some good moments. But there are parts that will make you ask just what you just read and why its even relevant. It also has CLAMP-tier character designs, but there is a reason/plot point for the appearance of some characters.
