It was frankly quite boring, at least this episode. I'm sure I zoned out and only remembered I was watching anime when the band playing was at it's highest even though I was looking at the screen the whole time.
From the PV I expected a bit more insight of the characters for the first episode, but the characters were just there doing their things for half the episode, I think there wasn't even background music.
So far I'm getting very strong Glasslip vibes, which is not good. I did like the LINE pop ups, they were the best part of the episode for me.

I agree I think it gets better and better as the drama unfolds. It does a good job of conveying the emotions of these children bordering on adulthood, and on the themes of the show. Regret of the past and those that may be carried forward, uncertainty about the future and changing relationships.
I really loved this scene here where they are playing baseball to work up the courage to do something. There is a build up of uplifting music, the characters take action, girl running to her trumpet, boy landing the home run. And then silence, a moment of reflection for the characters, a realization that nothing has changed. The only character we aren't given insight into their thoughts is Izumi. It sounds cliche now that I type it out but it didn't feel that way and I think it was actually really good.
Also Camera-chan has seriously grown on me. At first I thought she was annoying, but now she is super cute and endearing.

How can this show be so beautiful? Both literally in terms of the visuals but also everything else.
It's comfy, it's got no forced drama, it's got likable characters that actually behave like human beings and not shallow caricatures, even the LINE stuff that a lesser show would make into a cheap gimmick is realistic and used appropriately.
