Population, mostly. With a larger number of people we could have more mindsets and viewpoints and shit, to say nothing of a faster post speed to draw attention and amusement. Instead, the site died a half year back and /rand21/ got lambasted so we've lots a load of shitposters, for better or worse.

None that I know of. I visited some bunkers after 8chan died, but none of them were good or had any traffic. I think that most of our previous users have gone back to 4, but not me. Fuck halfchan. I left there during the Exodus and I'm not going back. I think if Jim and Ron wanted to get this place going again, they'd advertise it more, but that would bring in a bunch of newfags from places like twitter and facebook. I'd rather not have them here if that was the case. Once the 2020 American general election gets underway, I expect traffic to return to 8kun as normie social media ban people and 4cuck censorship drives anons back to here.
