And to further elaborate, I'd like to question the purpose of having the website logo on board banners. The main reason they exist on 4chan and other imageboards is because they're universal banners for the entire website. They show up on every board regardless of which one you're on and every board intrinsically belongs to the website, hence it makes sense to put "4chan" there somewhere. /pol/ isn't just /pol/, it's 4chan's /pol/, another board in a series of board that makes up 4chan as a whole. 7chan's /fl/ is their /fl/. However on 8chan every board exists in it's own insular isolated universe, and likewise it's up to you to moderate, get users for it and for all intents and purposes it's your board, it doesn't belong to the global volunteer team or the administrator. So I didn't particularly feel the need to put a logo there since we all know this is 8chan already for starters, and the connection of /1cc/ to the "8chan community" as whole is tenuous, it simply exists as a board that's on 8chan. Now sure I've called it "Masterchan's /1cc/" but mostly because I made it there first and then brought it here and the mchan board already shows up first on google for "arcade dumps" so I figured it would be easy advertisement for the sporadic arcade communities out there who already know about mchan's /1cc/. The reality is /1cc/ anywhere is tenuously connected to wherever it shows up, Masterchan included in spite of my best efforts.
>TL;DR I see 8chan as more like wikia or geocities, you make your own community that's distinct from all the other communities which is why it didn't occur to me to put 8chan logos. A good example is /cow/, also no 8chan logos on the banners since it's a community that has jumped from 3 websites (legi0n, 789chan, 888chan) and currently has no real connection to 8chan as a whole aside from existing there right now, same deal with /4chon/
