Just figured since it was tricky to get the files and since it isn't already posted here, I'd put it up. Everything's all setup to go just hit the exe I created (Daemon Bride.exe). Configure controls with xb_config.exe, also the game doesn't work on windows 8 or 10, at all.

Thank you. This is the first time I've been able to get the game to run. For some reason when I exit it resets the game and I need to exit again to get back to the desktop. Anyone else? Any solution

Ctrl, alt + del to get to task manager and close the game exe from there?

How about Alt + F4? that usually works too

 No.407

I thought that would solve the problem but ALT+f4 actually relaunches the program as well. The command line prompt doesn't seem to shutdown correctly.

Task manager isn't really a good option as I'm trying to get it into a frontend so key commands are much better.

To anyone else having the same issue as me, I was able to fix it simply by creating a batch file to run xb_loader gamew.exe and bypassing the daemon bride.exe

That's actually all the exe is, is a bat file I converted. Strange that you'd have to make another bat file with the same command.

What program did you use to convert it? Maybe it breaks the way Windows passes along arguments

It's a simple portable bat-to-exe program, by the same name. And I'm not certain that's the case as it hasn't happened to any of the conversions I've done with it on my own system or others before. I do know daemon bride is pretty finicky, on my end it usually takes two attempts before it even boots, so could be that.
