I'm looking mostly for working emulation capable 3d games, or anything else really. Especially games that break the typical shmup-fighter norm.

I definitely suggest you check out ZINC OP, it's the emulator for System 11/System 12 hardware, playstation based board. While it did have a lot of Fighting games and Shmups it also had some pretty experimental games like Dancing Eyes and Tondemo Crisis

Seems outta the ordinary enough, thanks. Though with how many machines there are, I'm sure there's a number that are emulation friendly I'm missing. Thankful that suggestions are already coming in, please, every and anything ya got. I haven't been making full use of my arcade emulators lately, I'd like to change that.

Definitely check out I, Robot by Atari. Probably the very first 3D video game ever made. For a piece of software released in I think 1985 or so it's got some insanely futuristic concepts like being able to change the camera in game and some weird "kidpix"esque mini 'game' (quotes around game because there's no objective in that mode except to draw a picture). Really weird and experimental piece of programming and a good example of the kind of talent Atari had back then

Also Funky Head Boxers is about the weirdest (and hardest) boxing game I've ever played, it really is quite an experience.

Ever play Rave Racer or Dirt Dash? Racing and Rally game respectively on the System 22 and Super System 22, runs reasonably well in MAME. Just allow it to frameskip automatically to fix skipping audio. They're good arcade fun.

I know for Rave Racer you can use Viva Nonno which will run on any hardware really
