Does anyone feel like this has a lot of over-reactive drama-fags throwing a fit and outside actors lying and exaggerating wanting their boards to flourish by poaching users? I'm trying to be optimistic that, as much as Acidman and Mark have been fags over the years, they're still closer to members of the community than admins like Jim/Ron or Moot ever were. And if they had an issue with being associated with manifestos and the like, as Hotwheels is, then I doubt they'd be trying to do this and take on the liability themselves.
The webring is like 200 Julay bunkers and then a couple major offshoots. vch was just v. Gahoole's /tv/ is a shithole and possibly the only BO I look forward to disappearing after all of this is over (alongside Head Meido). Besides /cow/ I see no reason to visit Julay; it's a bunch of Kiwi Farms faggots.
That and the incongruous rules and board software led to all kinds of issues. Lynxchan isn't great but it was the easiest to put up quickly.
Ultimately, a planned transition has never worked. All of us are only here because this was where the GamerGate bunker was when the threads got banned. There was no central bunker when Loli got banned, so now here we are.
I just hope we can convince most BOs to be on one or two websites with a couple outlying backups/bunkers in place.
